I don't understand it at all. He's almost constantly in development mode or protective love mode, and doesn't seem to realize his continued Metly existence is based on putting on a display of what win mode might look like.

Interesting. Davis hasn't been tried in right yet. He's played 15 games there in the minors — 11 as recently as last year. He certainly has the arm for it, but Conforto in right has been one. of Mickey's lineup locks.
