I know we usually start these when the player is no longer contracted to play for the Mets. But would you really expect he ever plays another game for the Mets? I don't.

Calling us stupid for over a decade just never gets old. Attaboy.

I don't want to argue, but everybody's everybody and it was posted here.

Claiming that we're unable to discern net payroll after insurance offsets

is insulting and then sprinkling in Trump and Hucklecheeks aggravated me.

I'm sorry.

Yeah, everybody's stupid. But according to the Wilpons, not me --- the idea being that everything the Wilpons say is true just because they say so. And then I segued to Trump and Huckabee for obvious reasons. (Psst: Because Trump and Sanders do the same) Obvious to everybody but you. But you're primed to go after me as soon as you see my name on the post, before you even read the goddamn post. And why would "sprinkling" Trump and Sanders into the post aggravate you? Because if that really does aggravate you, then I'm inclined to do it some more. What are you? One of those ********** New Yorkers who live north of the boroughs and voted for the orange scumbag.

Sprinkling in cheese doodle head into a Mets conversation is annoying.

You know damn well I didn't vote for Trump so put you jugular sidearm

back in it's holster there before you blow a gasket.

Oh, here we go again.

Haven't seen one like this since the old board.

Sigh.

Back to Cespedes - I think someone (The Mets, the insurance company) will sue him for violation of some conduct clause in his contract and try to get out of it. As others have posted, I think we've seen the last of him in a Mets uniform. When he was good, he was good. Too bad we didn't see it for enough time.

Call me a ********** again and it's 30 days.

I'd accept that rule if it was executed fairly. But people here can call me a ********** and my mother a whore with impunity and they won't even get red-lit. Me, I get thirty days because I said wrist-cock, even though Edgy said it before I did. I get thirty days for writing the word that starts with a c and rhymes with bunt even though I posted dozens of other instances when other posters used the word that starts with a c and rhymes with bunt without it being an issue. You make up rules after the fact and then apply them retroactively. How about a rule where if you write sprinkle and Trump in the same sentence, you get 30 days. I like that rule. Who makes up the rules here? Let's vote on that rule. What a forum. The same guy that writes posts and mingles with other posters can instigate disagreements at will and gets to resolve his own disagreements by threatening to suspend the poster he's mixing it up with. No conflicts there as far as I can see.

Suggestion: once in a while, as a thought experiment, you read your posts as if somebody else had written them.

I'm surprised there isn't more information on his prognosis. From what I could gather, it seems like Ces has already been examined by Mets doctors. I guess it depends on whether he needs surgery or not, but fractures are generally 6-12 weeks. I have no idea why that would affect 2020.

Well, I think that report said "multiple fractures," partner. And what with me recovering already

from double-heel surgery, and needing to not just get on my feet, but getting ready to put the

burdens of an MLB outfielder them same feet, you can see where it can be a might disconcertin'.

Sure. But even with multiple fractures, they can heal simultaneously. It's not like you tack on additional weeks for each fractures. And I get that it may be complicated, and may require surgery, but 12 weeks is more or less the outside time frame on even complicated fractures.

Let's assume before the injury, he was 3 months away from recovery. Even if you stop the clock on that and add it to the fracture recovery, that's still 6 months in the aggregate. And if the injuries can heal in tandem, then it's much shorter.

I guess there could be ligament or tendon damage, which can take longer. But the reports don't indicate that this is the case. Maybe that's what they're looking at today.
