  1. I was shaking my head just like you CF when I posted that pic. Conflicting reports coming out now. [tweet:mpqr6j7z] [/tweet:mpqr6j7z]
  2. [fimg=400:36whjnhr]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CwM3GVPWIAAbMDP.jpg[/fimg:36whjnhr] Mind boggling.
  3. More baseball! Yay! And a Cubs WS win @Wrigley. I don't think winning or losing matters to those Cubs fans. They just want to PARTY!
  4. I wanna see US ARMY. Thats commercial makes it look like a good movie.
  5. Sheeeesh. After seeing that bunt earlier I would have had him bunt again. The kid can't lay off ANYTHING!
  6. Cubs looking for insurance in the 8th. Heyward on 2nd, 1 out. Baez up, who really has looked most undisciplined at the plate.
  7. Odd that Maddon PH'd for Ross (w/2 outs and no one on) in anticipation of removing Lester although Lester's spot never came up and it's obvious that he planned to remove Lester all along even though he'd been pitching well and his pitch count was fairly low. oe: and now he goes to Chapman with one out in the 7th!!! I was surprised. I think Lester had plenty left in the tank. Maddon is so smooth with the press post game. I'm gonna have to watch that and see how he fields the question. I imagine with him the response would be the same whether the Cubs win or lose. Of course, they better win. Or no more baseball. Good game.

I'd like to strike that & reverse it. With the team of talented youngsters they have they'd have to be unlucky not to get back there over the next bunch of years. I say they are in it again inside of 5 years.
  9. Ken Rosenthal is growing on me. I didn't like him for the longest time. He'll always be just 4 ft tall, but he's growing on me.
  10. metirish wrote: wow, Indians are one win away .... Do the Cleveland fans at their stadium get to run out on the field and jump around if the Indians win it in Chicago? That be pretty kool.
  11. I feel kinda bummed so I can't imagine what a Cubs fan is feeling. Well, I want this to go seven regardless. Then no more baseball

  13. Well that's something. Fowler goes kaBOOM . 7-2, bottom of the 8th.

  15. lol:) [tweet:2xzty5ai] [/tweet:2xzty5ai] Yea, this is not going well for the ol Nat' League. Cubs in 7!
  16. metirish wrote: ARod talks really slow like he doesn't want to trip over himself Can you believe they pull this split screen bullshit during these crucial at-bats?
  17. metirish wrote: Rizzo hit , an exaggerated "Th-at hurrt" from Smoltz ....I miss McCarver I like Smoltz. He's really blah but next to Buck he sounds rather animated. Indians have looked like the better team last few. The Cubs are pressing. The errors by Bryant are concerning. He's so friggin tall. Maybe he & Rizzo should switch positions. 4-1 Indians. Top of the 6th. Cubs in trouble again with 2 on. Pitching change.
  18. Cubs on the board in the first! 1-0 A Fowler double and a bloop single from Rizzo.
  19. metirish wrote: Cocaine and alcohol in his system , a series of bad choices , sucks http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/29/us/miami-jose-fernandez-toxicology/ The first thing I thought when I read that was I wish I hadn't read it. Some things I'd just rather not know.
  20. Is it too late to start a petition to have one of these next two be a day game @Wrigley? And we got a Saturday and a Sunday! Oh MLB, whatthefuckryadointomygame?
  21. The llama. He sucks. And they keep running him out.
  22. Wow. That was a great game. Cleveland holds on.
  23. E-3! 1st & 3rd.
  24. A perfect pitch, a tight curve, Ks Zobrist. But they stay out of the DP and its a Cub in scoring position, Heyward, 2 out. wow.
  25. A leadoff single for Rizzo in the 9th.
