Daaaaamn. Bryant goes down. 1-0 Cleveland, the 9th. It doesn't look like there's going to be any WS celebration at Wrigley this year. Cubs in 7! (reverse jinx^)
  2. Zvon
Well, at least he hit it over the pitcher.
  3. Zvon
Schwarber going kaboom would be storybook shit.
  4. Zvon
And he's stranded. That might be it.

This is an excellent game so far. 1-0 Indians with the wind blowing out at Wrigley. AND BLOWING OVER! Soler with a TRIBOOM! & he wasn't running hard to 1st. Fuck.
  6. Zvon
    lol, Murray was great.

And that slide by Davis was extra special. [fimg=500:32o4aupt]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cv5vwqaWgAAMBU9.jpg:large[/fimg:32o4aupt]

I don't think there's enough to reverse that.

Heyward's just been so awful in this first year that it's 'Plan B' time. hah,95. Still 0-0 Cubs but Indians threatening. Runner @2nd, 1 out. Rajai Davis.....

Mostly right now he's taking the ABs that would normally go to Heyward. Oh, I thought he was in there everyday. I've read good things about this kid but I have no idea what or how he was doing. Heyward was blocking him? Oy.

Is that Smoltz in the booth with Mr. Morbid? He reminds me of the way Jim Palmer analyzed. Unremarkably good. The internet says that unremarkably is not a word. Awwww.

The internet...it's not just an opportunity to come up with outrageously bad answers to music trivia questions. lol. uh-oh, Kipnis takes one for the team, the bases are full of Indians, and that's all for Hendricks. Hmm. A hook in the 5th. 0-0 Cubs.

Chicago only has one hit from Zobrist. Indians have 5 hits, but I see some nice movement on Hendricks pitches. [fimg=600]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cv5X8YXXEAABqKw.jpg[/fimg]

Sure. If by a "bit of sense" you mean "none whatsoever". I saw that last night on twitter and my reaction was exactly the same. First I laughed. d'Kong76 wrote: Citi Field has become somewhat obsolete. I mean, it's going to be ten years old before we know it. A team-subsidized study by 3-4 cranepoolers (headed by me) should be started to replace Citi with a Shea-like replica by 2020. I took mechanical drawing in high school. I can whip up the blueprints.

Great bunch of info. Thank you. I hope Schwarber gets to bat at least once. DH in Cleveland? As long as he isn't playing the field. I'm not in the mood for comedy.

I want to see baseball history, and both teams could provide that. But that 1908 thing--I'd like to see that drought end during my lifetime.
  22. Zvon
Cubs in 7. I wanna see as much baseball as possible before the book is closed on 2016. And imagine the level of hysteria between games 6 & 7.

Cubs take advantage of LA, 8-4. Up 3 games to 2. If I was a Cubs fan I'd be a little worried about Chapman. lil bit. I wouldn't even have wanted him in there tonight. Why would they keep Baez in this game? The umping: atrocious. There is no way before replay that umps got such obvious calls wrong as much.
