Okay, Severino has been carrying the Mets all night. Time for the offense to wake up give the man some run support. He has given up one sorry hit, but the Mets have only registered 3 of their own.

Great start from Quintana. Nice to see a starter go more than 5 innings. Great moment for Vientos. Much needed win for the team. Hopefully it will give the team some cahnfidence as they prepare to host the Cubs.

Happy for Pete getting his 200th Kaboom. I would have preferred a win though.

Sitting behind the center of the 1st base dugout. 60/40 mix of Mets/Cardinals fans on this side, but wanted a different point of view from Sundays Walk off. Looks like we get to see the Mets regular lineup.

It was a beautiful day for a baseball game at Clover Park this afternoon. Quintana had a tough outing, but the rest of the Mets pitching did pretty well. The crowd was most boisterous for Edwin Diaz's entrance to Narco. The Mets kept plugging along after falling behind early. A 3 run no doubter to left field by Vientos got the Mets back in the fame. Bader hit a scorching line drive down the left field line that I was certain was going to be off the wall. I was wrong. It got out of the park quickly. Iglesias sent everyone home happy with a walk off home run to right center. Again, I didn't think it had enough to get out when it left the bat. Glad to have been wrong. The Mrs. & I had good seats, 2/3 of the way up. behind the third base dugout. We will be going back again to see the Mets host the Cardinals on Tuesday evening. Switching to behind the first base dugout for a little different perspective. Tomorrow is beach (I will be under the umbrella), beer and seafood day.

Very patient at the plate. Often, overly so. Drew a lot of walks as a result. Clogged the bases once he got on base. Seemed liked a good teammate, but the Mets needed more from the DH position than he was capable of providing.

It appears that David Wright was pretty damn good. With all the numbers they Mets keep retiring, it would seem that Wright would be a most worth candidate. His career, Mets and otherwise, was greater than Doc Gooden's and Darryl Strawberry's, IMHO.

If anyone is going to a ST game "hit me up". My wife and I will be in Port St. Lucie (well actually Jenson Beach) March 15-23. Plan to take in a few games at Clover Park.

Wasn't as good with the Mets as I anticipated he would be. Seemed like a nice guy and a good teammate, but he was another veteran whose best years were behind him. Injuries really seemed to take their toll. I wish him well with his return to Cleveland.

I expect he will strengthen the back end of the bullpen.
