  3. At 96, he threw one pitch for the Schaumberg Flyers in the Northern League. Man, that must be one crazy league.
  4. Count me in for one of the trips: preferably Baltimore, as I've already been to Fenway twice, but if we're not going there, then I'll do Beantown.

  7. It's okay, because it offsets those of us who are way too lazy to use any fractions at all.
  8. My other thought last night was "They hit Reyes! You bastard!" I saw our wild card hopes slip away for a moment.
  9. Wright's homer after the misguided intentional walk to Floyd was a thing of beauty. Nice W.

  11. I wanted to go all tens and zeroes, but Rotty stole my thunder. So I'll mix it up a bit...Cameron, Mike 0Floyd, Cliff 7Glavine, Tom 7Looper, Braden 7Matsui, Kaz 3Mientkiewicz, Doug 0Milledge, Lastings 3Piazza, Mike 0Seo, Jae Weong 7Trachsel, Steve 10
  12. And in breaking news, Kelly Stinnett is furious that he wasn't named as the team's starting catcher.
  13. I thought you were kidding, but there it is on mets.com...Kristin James (Kris) Benson graduated from Sprayberry High School in Marietta, GA...
  14. Thanks for the reminder... I missed it this morning, but it's the first highlight on mlb.com... that's a sick catch. Nice!

  16. Weird coincidence: I was at Game 19 in both Floyd's and Reyes's hit streaks this year... and I've only been to three games at Shea.
  17. How bizarre that five of the seven times were against the Cubs, featuring four different pairs of pitching names.
  18. I'll vote K-Mac also, but Cleon will get the popular vote.

  20. Seo's "problem" is that he throws too many strikes without having really dominant stuff. He doesn't walk too many guys, but he doesn't K too many either; guys put the ball into play. When the defense is good, like they were yesterday, he wins.Note: Neifi Perez looked AWFUL yesterday. I don't know why Nomar didn't play, but Perez looked completely lost at the plate, making four outs to first base (and looking ugly every time he swung).
  21. Will you people please show Bert some love?
  22. Great game. Timely hitting (both runs driven with two outs), Jose Reyes basically scoring a run all by himself, Greg Maddux "stealing second base," Jae Seo looking like a Cy Young candidate, Mr. Koo getting a big out, Bert getting a huge out, Looper getting 'em 1-2-3. Beautiful day at the ballpark. This one was a keeper.Jae Seo gets the PotG, but honorable mention to Bert, who was great.
  23. Seo 5Hernandez 2Reyes 1Beltran 1Wright 1
  24. Are they doing Bark at the Park!?! I'm so there. It's not on mets.com at all!
