  1. We were at the first of those two doubleheaders that weekend also. McGwire homered in both games; 50 and 51 on the season. Looks like Wendell did strike him out in the 8th in game 2, but didn't pitch in the first one.
  2. =kcmets post_id=35036 time=1586634751 user_id=53] They should have retired Kranepool's number a long time ago.
  3. I mean, I guess they've got to write about *something.*
  4. Willets Point wrote: The downside of Arizona (and Florida) in the summer is that it's beastly hot. They can schedule all night games, but that will mean late starts for East Coast fans. Mind you, late-night televised baseball from blazing hot Arizona is better than no baseball. And hey! It's not like we have to get up early.
  5. Is this an extended interview? HOLY SHIT this is amazing. Found my morning work soundtrack.
  6. Johnny Lunchbucket wrote: I demand more featured faces Current twelve are Terry Leach, Max Scherzer, Mariano, and nine black-and-white guys from the turn of the century. Maybe next cycle.
  7. Damn. I should have gotten Hoyt. That would have been ten.
  8. John Valentin is the Sock on the bottom row. I got nine of these guys, which is definitely the most I've ever gotten.
  9. =kcmets post_id=34538 time=1585789289 user_id=53] Have to find a link.
  10. Wow, this is super cool! Love it.
  11. Baseball Reference does uniform numbers by season, thankfully. It's buried down at the bottom among their random links.
  12. Ryan Eades of the Twins, apparently.
  13. Love that!
  14. Or that Jon Niese would be top FIVE?!?
  15. Also, could you imagine in 2010 that Wright wouldn't be #1 on this list and that Reyes wouldn't even be in the top ten?
  16. I would absolutely make "Duda's" a stop on all of our road trips.
  17. Edgy MD wrote: If you play this season out electronically do you do it from the point that play stopped in the spring, or from Day One? In other words, It's Syndergaard digitally injured also? Yes - they did it "live" on MLB The Show on Twitter. That's what I ham-handedly referred to earlier. It was 2-2 in the 6th when I turned it off; don't know how it ended.
  18. I watched a little bit of the SNY "MLB The Show 2020" version of Opening Day today. It just kinda made me sad that it wasn't the real thing.
  19. Well yeah BUT that picture was taken AFTER four of those five surgeries. But whatever, I geuss.
  20. The guy in the Red Sox hat on the top row of D is The Dad From Family Ties.
  21. =kcmets post_id=33939 time=1584995179 user_id=53] My gut says one of the B&W pics but I'll throw a dart at #1 and say K-rod.
  22. And Pat Tabler in the Blue Jays hat on the top row, no? (edit: No, scratch that. Rance Mulliniks.)
  23. Just grabbed the book from the library before lockdown. Guess there's no rush to finish it and get it back.
  24. The RockieMet in A is Steve Reed.
