  4. Barry Fucking Zito?!? Nobody hire me as a GM.
  5. His pool killed someone. /not funny /except it kinda is
  6. Yeah, but that's the Orioles. Even I'm 4-1, 3.15 against the Orioles. The Mets only got to Moyer in the last year or so. In his first eighteen starts against the Mets, he pitched at least six innings every time, and only thrice gave up more than three runs. That'd be 15/18 "quality starts," for whatever that stat is worth.
  7. I want a bank. One of you Opening Day fellahs and/or ladies hopefully willing to part with one of yours? It's for, um... the kids. Yeah.

  9. He's one of the only Met killers who I really don't have a whole lot of hate for. The guy has KILLED us through the years. Killed us, over and over, going back to when Gary Matthews the elder was a teammate and George Foster was in our lineup. Maybe it's just because he -- and Chris Chelios, for that matter -- give me hope that my professional sports career isn't over yet. But I don't have the venom I have for the Chippers and Von Hayeses of the baseball world.

  11. There are few things I would rather do than bang Alicia Silverstone.
  12. If he has options, why would the Mariners have waived him? You'd think they'd just stash him themselves, unless they think he really has nothing to offer. And considering the history of guys the Mariners don't want but the Mets do (see: Putz, JJ and Green, Sean), maybe I'll pass. He just gets in the way of Carter and/or Davis.

  15. Fuckin' hell, fellas. We talk about who's getting booed on Opening Fuckin' Day and we wonder why free agents don't want to sign here? Shit, if I'm Jason Bay, I ask my agent if he can still get Beirut on the phone.
  16. Plus, apparently, Chris Coste was claimed by the Nats.
  17. I'm still pissed at MeiGray for telling me they'd call me when the Mr. Met "No Smoking" signs would be available, then when I called back, saying they were all already sold.
  18. I can't tell if this is a guy who bought a bunch of stuff from the MeiGray group and is trying to resell it, or if it's MeiGray themselves. Weird.
  19. Fman stole my thunder, so I'll be more realistic. 1st place 92-70 NL East Champs NLCS Champs over the Rockies WS Champs over Boston
  20. Giant fruit, Jon & Joe, and Bluetooth McDouchestubble. All made me laugh out loud.
  21. I don't want to interrupt the flow, because this thread is going to get good now, but it was at the new Frontier Field after they closed Silver after the 1996 season.
  22. Shouse closed for the Red Wings many years ago when I was in Rochester, and he was a shutdown guy for them then.
  23. Fodriguez says that Venezuelan jails are pretty bad, yet Oogie has daily access to a Blackberry?
