  1. my bum is so squeaky right now
  2. man, this is some game!
  3. interesting... it's both anathema to what we've ever done, and yet also a pretty good solution to a trollerific problem. it'd never really been a problem because, honestly, whose gonna find us - not even dedicated mets fans, most of the time lol. let alone anyone whod be bothered to bother us (at least, not as an internet rando...) its like a captcha. i kinda dig it. how many posts does it take to get to the center of the non-baseball forum pop?
  4. i don't think we need to emulate the yankees on having so many retired numbers.
  5. man... the biggest complaint i have is that there's just so little of my screen that has meaningful content on it. i'm used to more visually, informationally dense format.
  6. fuck yeah! now the real challenge will be to find the ones that are still blocked!
  7. I turned on the Ven/Jap game in the 8th… very stressful. mark derosa has gotta be loving Venezuela right now. Phew! us/dr is gonna be craycray. I guess I’m not watching the Oscars…
  8. We do sometimes use the fantasy league page. I think we have two leagues currently running that involve our members. We just don’t really talk about it much in the offseason. Because we’re not monsters. hey, ottoneu draft is tonight. Kinda wish I’d’ve done my homework! Oh crap I think the other league drafts tonight too. Hope I do well off the waiver wire this year lol.
  9. Woohoo, I’m back. and hey, there’s my little froggy. I was so worried I’d be reborn as a toilet. I’ll try not to keep little m.e.t.b.o.t. up on that dusty shelf for so long.
  10. Pete, by a moonshot.
  11. A unisphere with baseball stitches would look pretty sweet, conceptually
  12. While those colors aren’t objectively good, they work so well together is a padres baseball context.
  13. Clearly we’re pigeonholing us by identifying as “New York” even, apparently. :eyeroll
  14. The 5 is fire. I love it. It’s exactly what I would’ve proposed. It’s based on the new signage for the nyc parkways. The real GCP has the unisphere where the ball is, also cut off. This is terrific. I was looking around for a photo of one in The wild and couldn’t find it or I would’ve proposed it earlier as a foundation. It’s new, it’s crisp. I love it. The subway signs are great too but I worry it’ll look too derivative - especially of the 7 line. Also… hasn’t it been done before? I feel like I’ve seen it before. Maybe not. But the GCM sign is fresh. It’s my clear winner. 3 is a distant second.
  15. It works for both. I think of grand central station first, not the parkway. I think we can nod towards both, to be honest. Iconographically the station has the deeper well. You can evoke the big ol’ windows in the grand concourse, or the clock. Or even the departure board. There’s a lot of there there. For the parkway you could draw from the road sign itself for a clean design, with a smaller sign graphic perhaps for exit 9E for citi field.
  16. The 7 line is the name of the subway route that stops at willets point station, and it seems to do pretty well for itself.
  17. Something like the Mets Pool could work, because a pool is a group of reporters. Like, the Mets press pool. Wade into the deep end for the forums. A nod to our own history and all that. Otherwise… Mets central Mets express Mets landing Mets connection Metslink Mets on my mind Mets forum Mets mezzanine Mets hub Mets bot farm But seriously though. If you google “Mets forum” and the names that come up have “Mets” and “forum” in the description isn’t that enough? Would a clever cheeky or interesting name draw more visits than literally just saying Mets? I don’t know seo and marketing clearly. And most of my humor is dad jokes at this point. Tying into collective team history à la Kranepool grounds the place more than “Mets [noun]” but yeah it might be a bit esoteric Hmm. Shea Bridge. Where Mets fans gather. I’m not very good at this.
  18. flushing dreams. like i said, i'm not good at this. Orange and Blue Baseball takeoffs in right field. On Point - Mets Baseball Seaver Way the wright place willets point station
  19. I went to school for engineering, so I’m great with words. Something organic that pulls on our history, that feels like we coulda named it back in the day or along the way. I dont have good ideas, just some thoughts. Kranepool Connection Kranepool corner Mets Magic Metropolitan Baseball Mets Grand Central From Shea to Citi Amazin’ Archive
  20. Oh boy it’s such a pretty day down there.
