The problem isn't that they scored only 3 times after bags-loaded/no outs (2.5 is about the norm) ... it's that they scored only one additional run after they cashed in two and still had 2nd & 3rd/no outs even though they tacked on another double.
  2. The two replay reviews in this game each appeared to take well over one minute ... or about 50 seconds longer than either should have needed. They can put a time limit on it all they want, but if there's no enforcement it doesn't matter.
  3. There are Martin Scorcese movies that aren't as long as that bottom of the first.
  4. Looks like everyone else is on an IGT losing streak so I guess it's up to me. Robert Gsellman vs Jordan Yamamoto The 24 y/o Hawaii born Yamamoto is making his 3rd start this year after 15 last season. His two starts this season (TOR & BAL) finds his ERA in the district of Matzlandia (9.82) Faced the Mets twice last year and went 1-1 The 9-6 Marlins are coming off losing 2 of 3 to the Braves and not scoring a lot (lost 1-2 and 0-4) especially when you consider that the Braves's pitching staff at the moment consists of two peanut vendors and a AA batting practice catcher. Mets will try to jack up their runs scored tonight by getting at least two hits w/RiSP ... even if it takes them 16 ABs
  5. =MFS62 post_id=43987 time=1597678870 user_id=60] Since SNY is also owned by the people who own the Mets, isn't it time for the Commissioner to come knocking on the Wilpons' door with a suspension (or other penalty)?
  6. Oh and look at that ... another infield hit!!

Not that the (lack of) NYM gloves haven't contributed to things late in the game here, but these Philly rallies started and/or were fueled by slow choppers to 3rd: the one that banked off the base; the one that Davis threw poorly; the one that Dom caught poorly. After that, it's like the Phils don't hit the ball hard until there are men on base while the Mets only hit the ball hard when they're empty.

  9. Gary at one point last (Sat) night said that both deGrom & Wacha threw earlier in the day ... so there's not NO news.
  10. Just out of curiosity, when was the last time NYM bats got a ball out of the infield? I'm thinking maybe the 3rd inning.
  11. SNY's 'The Putback' that they just ran an ad for looks like serious Must Miss TV to me.
  12. Matz 0-3, 8.30 (yikes) And despite throwing a "good" game, according to the voices in the booth, that ERA manages to rise.
  13. Well considering that I wouldn't recognize Ali Sanchez if stuck on an elevator with him and that his AAA resume (56 ABs) consists of a sub-.200 BA and that his ML resume consists of one AB where he grounded into a DP, I'm going to hold off on sanctioning his elevation to #1 (or #2) catcher.
  14. =bmfc1 post_id=43851 time=1597458978 user_id=73] They should sign Jerry Blevins to face Harper. Ramos needs to be benched.
  15. Slow tag by Ramos. Coulda/shoulda been out.
  16. It actually took a nice hustle and throw from Gregorius to make that play ... but that has to be a 100% chance (or higher) of making it before you try.
  17. And as we see on almost a daily basis, no one is even pretending that there's a need for 'clear and convincing evidence' in order to overturn a call even though that was the supposed selling point of using replay in the first place.
  18. 19. Having the old players 'in the stands' is a pretty neat idea.
  20. OUR outfielders can find the fucking ball!!
  21. It's neck tightness: https://twitter.com/AnthonyDiComo/status/1294359493808140288https://twitter.com/AnthonyDiComo/status/1294359493808140288 Maybe it's a tight blister on his neck ... or a neck blister on his tights? Either way, I don't like it.
  22. There's no secret that sports and individual teams are starting to embrace sports gambling as a source of income and synergy.
  23. So when Brach was on the Covid IL do you suppose he suffered from Brach-ial issues?
  24. I like how Pete watched the first pitch curveball, saw what it looked like, and then jumped over the next one. Then Dom figures that after that display there's no way this guy's throwing me a first pitch curve and jumped all over a first pitch fastball.
