1. Bruce Chen is almost 37?? He still looks like 24. My $$'s on him. #RIPExpos
2. Shit. Thanks.
3. I paid the $10 and put the draft date on my calendar. Looks like it will be 2:30am on a beautiful Parisian Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Will try my best, but um, pas de promesses. What does happen if I can't be on for the draft (besides ending up with a shitty team)? Can I set up exclusions, max bids, stuff like that? I don't really see anything like in the draft center page.

5. You guys schedule it when it works for everyone. Hopefully I'll be at my brother's in Germany with a computer & internet and all that. If I'm elsewhere, I'll try to do it from my phone or figure something out.

For what it's worth, the update of my trading block was removing guys I had on the block (since mid-summer) after I cut them. So, really nothing to see. Cool, Ceetar's link wasn't working for me, so that's prob why. Thx.

10. I'm cleaning house on my shitty inherited team. If anyone I have interests you, throw some tradies my way.
11. Would you believe I've only been to 3 Met games in NY in my life? Two at Shea, and one at Citi with Sheila. Mets lost 2 of those 3 (maybe all 3??) but all of those times were great. Back to your regular scheduled misery.

13. David Wright sneaking up behind the Uptons beats everything.
14. But there's a warm front in my pantaloons.
15. G-Fafif wrote: Speak of the devil... Sunday day game after a night game. Jim Gott handed Gooden his 4th loss the night before (dropping Doc to 20-4, 1.81 ERA) and today's undercard is Lynch and LaPoint. Keith and Straw get the day off and Carter plays first. Davey plugs Tom Paciorek in the 3-spot of the lineup, playing right (and he goes 2-5!). Speaking of pinch homers, the Mets enter the 9th down 3-1, and go: HoJo pinch double Staub pinch double Mookie pinch single Keith pinch HR Mets win 4-3 behind the Orosco save. (the 9th inning starts at 1:44:35, and also features Davey busting the SF manager when he fouls up a double-switch). Good shit! http://leaptoad.com/mets/gamedetail.php?gameno=3814&tabno=A
16. Gimme some Rusty.
17. When teammates bitch about the guys who aren't with them at the hospital, it makes their own gesture to be there seem less altruistic. I never had a prob with Beltran missing because he was at another charitable commitment. That's 2 more commitments than most people bother to make. Luis' excuse seemed weak, if not sort of honest, and Ollie's response was just stupid, but that Rubin article sure focused on Beltran and the toxicity of him being around, didn't it?

19. Here's the assault by pie again. I couldn't believe how hard he smacked him with that thing when I first saw it.
20. I saw Jeff Tweedy solo last night (awesome) and he said that this song was loosely based on the fucked up and brilliant Peter O'Toole movie of the same name. The Ruling Class: [youtube:r1oto56j]joz6KRQaHTA[/youtube:r1oto56j]
21. Clearly not trying to disparage diabetics here, sorry if you don't see that. Good luck with your tests, man. Peace.
22. C'mon, man. Lighten up a little.

24. The Mets have outsourced construction of Bartolo Colon's jerseys to the Ringling Brothers.
