  1. Yeah, they totally are. I guess it'll be like this: CF Joc Pederson (Matt Kemp) SS Jimmy Rollins (Hanley Ramirez) 2B Howie Kendrick (Dee Gordon) C Yasmani Grandal (AJ Ellis) edit: SP Brandon McCarthy (Dan Haren) Coming back are Adrian Gonzalez (1B), Juan Uribe (3B), Puig, Crawford, and Ethier (OF) That's a lot of tinkering with a 94-win team, huh!?
  2. For the record, Ned Colletti does NOT make that trade if he's still GM.
  3. WOW. Heaney's a stud. I kinda like it for the Dodgers.
  4. Doyers sorta have a glut of INF'ers with Rollins, Gordon, youngin Kyle Seager, and the one-eared Cuban, Alex Guerrero. Just sayin'.

I was thinking about the starting pitching surplus today (oh, what a glorious thing to be thinking about in December!), and something is going to have to give anyway. If Profar is progressing and the medical staff anticipation is that barring setbacks he will play this season, then I would try to make it happen. Is this an actual rumor that is circling or is this an internal WATP that we are debating? I haven't heard it discussed IRL. I think it was just a JCL WATP, but a good one. I do think he was right, though, that we might have to include Muffy for this thing to really really happen and they could throw in '_________" back our way and BAM.
  6. Doyers apparently wiling to trade Dee Gordon cause he can't get on base. Sandy would probably not be in love for the same reason, BUT... He reached base 36% in the minors (though it's 31 in the majors so far.) He scored 92 and stole 64 last year. He'll be 27 in April. Is cheap and can't be a FA til 2019, so I think he'd be pretty steep. Interested?
  7. Chad Ochoseis wrote: Maybe the wrong spot for this, but I was wondering this morning about the plausibility of a Francisco Lindor/Noah Syndergaard trade. The Indians like this Jose Ramirez guy and their former (current #1) could maybe be had. Profar has the higher offensive ceiling of the two, I bet, but Lindor is great defensively and healthy. YOU MAKE THE CALL. Here's the view from the Indians side, courtesy of a college friend of mine who grew up in Cleveland: Nope. Jose Ramirez was a nice surprise, but Lindor is the second coming of Omar Vizquel. Ramirez will find a spot as a utility guy, or even at second base if Kipnis continues to decline. And while you can never have too much young pitching, we do have quite a bit of it right now. Indians fans effing love Omar. If not him, JCL's right that there's a good matchup w/ Texas. I'd back Profar. It'd be another great young guy challenge trade (35% more exciting than Heyward for Miller). I thought Texas was gonna try to use Profar at 2B last year (even though they have the unfortunately named Roughened Odor there, too). If they think Odor stinks, our lil fantasy trade don't go down.

  9. NO MORE YANKEE HIS WAKNEE! The Donger need FOOD!
  10. If he hit 15 home runs and kicked like a Rockette, I'd be all about him.
  11. Heyman sez we're interested in 27-year old, power-hitting shortstop Jung-Ho Kang (39 HR's in Korea last year). Sounds like a mythical beast to me. My Korean's rusty, but here he is winning an award for best female pop performance. TYp6zt627oA
  12. I still have all of mine from concerts and games and stuff. I went to an Arsenal match this year and the 'season tickets' are just a single pass issued to the ticket holder. So the guy who 'had an extra' gave me the pass outside the gate, then I scanned it and handed it back to him. Surprised cheap-ass US sports teams don't already do something like this. Pros: -print and issue only 1 thing -cracks down on scalping Cons: -cracks down on scalping -fans think you're a cheap-ass
  13. I don't remember anything about the Presley collision being the trigger. I just remember watching the poor guy. The line is so fine... seems like when you get to the point where you're actually thinking about the yip for the first time, you're already fucked. Good he found some peace. Mack the hack!
  14. This trade prob doesn't go down if Oscar Tavares didn't die.
  15. Exciting, young player challenge trade! My first reaction is the Braves got over on 'em, but maybe the Cards already lost faith in Miller and his disappearing K/9 numbers. Awesome trade either way. Braves rotation (Teheran, Miller, Minor, Brandon Beachy) could be pretty formidable.

  17. I really dug the cream. The Giants have been rocking it, and I thought the Mets looked classy as hell in em, but picking one is like being being given Biel and Alba and told to choose only one Jessica. I'll survive either way. I am always completely indifferent to the BP uni's, but I would like to launch a full-scale Obama drone attack on those horrendous camouflage things.
  18. Edgy MD wrote: I think you stumbled upon the George Costanza of the Giants, Bret Alexander, travel director, seen here at family day with his wife and son. That's the guy! Asked him if his hand cramps up from the weight of it and he laughed and said, "Keeps me in shape".
  19. Edgy MD wrote: Gonna have to explain how you pulled that one off. Please tell me you're not taking up with Sergio Romo again. He always makes you feel so bad about yourself. No, I'm never letting Romo hurt me again. EVER. My buddy's uncle is Dave Righetti and he hooked us up w/ 4 seats right behind the Giants dugout. We were in Jason Bateman's real estate. Primo seats. Some guy next to me was wearing a 2012 World Series ring (Alexander, I think it said on it), but I never could figure out who he was. He was really stoked to be asked about it. I kept thinking of the 2006 clincher with LoDuca and Wright and their stogies. Felt pretty lucky to have landed this game, and with Kershaw on, even when the Dodgers were down 1-0, the outcome felt foregone. That guy is fuckin unreal. Dodger Stadium rocks when it's full and the people give a shit, btw. Great crowd last night and the celebration after was funnnnnnn. I was such a poseur.
  20. Non-Met stuff, but I'm going to a game tonight. Clinch night for the Dodgers, Kershaw on the bump, and I'm going w/ some tix comped by a uniformed member of... the Giants. Should be cool either way. Go Doyers?
  21. The young bloods are rakin' again today. Would be such a nice problem to have if both Wilmer and Dilson become real weapons with the bat.
  22. Hey guys, sorry I was so shit at keeping up this year. The daily change leagues always prove too busy for me to handle. The Cornballer Franchise (and our stable of fine show ponies) will be available to a new owner next year.
  23. Huge that we miss Kershaw, who was supposed to go tonight, but went last night instead (8 IP, 1 ER, 10 K) because Zack Cranky's got a greinke elbow. My girlfriend surprised me w/ tix for the game tonight (so I'm equal parts relieved & bummed to not watch Kershaw). First Met game I've been to since I was last in NY a few years ago! Pitching matchups might be slightly in our favor and neither team's been exactly knocking the shit out of the ball lately. Good time to play these dudes, I'd say. LGM.
  24. I kinda feel like he was just embarrassed when he fell over on that 'hard tag' and made it about Donaldson instead. I'm sure he was pissed they threw towards his knees in the second incident, seeing as how he'd just come back from a huge knee injury, but jeez don't be a dick, man, and none of this happens.
