    McNeil has always struck me as a red ass on general principles. I've never actually seen his ass, but when the camera follows him into the dugout after a strikeout, he usually looks like he's getting ready to smack a water cooler. I don't know that there's a particular issue with Rojas here.

    In 4 1/2 healthy seasons as a Met, Wheeler showed flashes of greatness with bouts of inconsistency. He had the potential to be great. He also had and still has the potential to be Ollie Perez Redux. I don't blame the Mets for not meeting the 5 year/118 million asking price. I'll admit that I don't remember what the off-season FA possibilities were in the price range between Porcello and Wheeler.

    Tough call among a crop of excellent but flawed Mets. I went with Piazza, probably the best hitting catcher ever and the only other HoFer with a Mets cap. I'm wondering how he missed the top 10 in WAR. I guess six good seasons aren't enough in aggregate. A respectful nod to the always underappreciated Carlos Beltran; the Astros scandal doesn't change his Metly career.

    Rusty in right field. I can't think of a single Met second baseman who is no longer alive. Even Felix Mantilla is still with us, I believe. Playing second for the Mets may be the key to immortality.
