1. Nice. But why steal with a slugger like Nido at the plate? Actually, stealing while up 7-2? Mets really looking to eat some National ass!
2. Gary, reading the CPF. Hi, Gary!
3. =bmfc1 post_id=43624 time=1597338934 user_id=73] We know that Nido isn't on the team for his offense
4. Pete getting his groove back would be huge.
5. Still an open slot in centerfield at #7? I'll go with the other CF who shares a birthday with me, AJ Pollock.
6. =bmfc1 post_id=42752 time=1596503625 user_id=73] If Cano's groin is really tight, we're gonna see more of Dozier and it appears that WSH knew what it was doing but not keeping him.
7. Always liked Td'A. Glad to see him succeed. Just stick to meaningless HRs in 7-0 games against us.
8. Kaboom! Is it me, or did that look like an easy popup off the bat?
9. Getting some nice DeGrommy action in addition to all the runs.
10. Jeff is hitting .343. But according to Gary, he has back stiffness.
11. Yeah, I have vague memories of that. I checked BBref, and he actually retired in 1986. I mainly remember him as a 70s Astro.
12. Please reacquire Cesar Centeno for base-stealing drill purposes. I keep reading this as "Cesar Cedeno" and thinking that he'd be a great fit if he hadn't retired 40 years ago.
13. The Mets have plenty of hitting, assuming Alonso's slump is a temporary funk. The RISP issue is a statistical anomaly. We laugh at old-school fans who criticize a player for not being "clutch", but somehow we still criticize a team when the randomly scattered hits don't happen to cluster for a while. One problem the Mets really do have is four corner outfielders and no centerfielders on the active roster. So, yeah, it might be nice to have Hamilton on our side.
14. =whippoorwill post_id=42645 time=1596404214 user_id=79] Is there a Goat du Jour? Looks like a team effort loss
15. The Mets still have Lagares? I just assumed he was gone and I missed it.
16. Indeed. Bases loaded, none out, one run in would be a nice place to be right now.
17. Sucky as this team has been, Zimmo and McNeil at bats are fun to watch.
18. The lineup I see on Twitter has P.U. DHing and batting 6th, Rosario 8th, and Vincenzo Nido catching and batting 9th.
19. Lefty Specialist wrote: Camaro may not be a great fielding third baseman, but boy can he get around the bases fast.
20. For a guy who is supposed to be all hit and no field, Devers has shown a nice glove this whole series.
21. Not a very Workmanlike job on the mound.
