I wasn't paying attention during the off-season. Why aren't they flying? Chartering a few planes for an hour is probably safer than six buses for five hours, and the cost difference should be rounding error for a major league operation. -
On the bright side, Diaz won't be pitching the 9th.

There are a lot worse guesses than Walkie, who finished 11th among secondbasemen! So close, but three points leak out of your scoring bucket! You know who's a worse guess than Neil Walker? Brandon Phillips! I'm not even sure how long he's been in the league! But I'm going to guess him anyway as the #7 2B.

I'm going to go against character and not guess an Indian. The missing 2B at #7 is the always dependable Neil Walker, whose only Metly sin was to have a good year in New York while Murph had a great year in DC.

I'm not feeling it this year. Who would have thought starting pitching would be a weakness? But Stroman + Matz + Wacha + Porcello isn't doing much for me. Nor is the bullpen. And Alonso came back to earth in the second half last season. I'd love to be wrong. 28-32 3rd ahead of Philadelphia and Miami No playoffs 13 Alonsonies. The equivalent of a perfectly solid 35 over a full season.

I've been resisting the temptation to guess Joe Smith as the #18 reliever who's been everywhere. He definitely played for the Mets and Indians. He was definitely good. But I don't see him compiling enough teenage fWAR to make this list. But I've got a long string of bad guesses and desperation is setting in. Joe Smith, #18 reliever.
