  1. This is great to hear. His control is good?
  2. Every week it’s the same thing.
  3. The pitching gets much tougher in Philadelphia. This would be a terrible series to lose.
  4. If we come back you have to fire Mendy.
  5. Benge never saw a strike. Horrific.
  6. 5-1. Looks like I may not be sticking around long for this game either.
  7. Wow. This team is hot garbage. How is no one covering.
  8. Looks like another clunker. We suck
  9. There are no hitters in this upcoming class. Bichette would benefit from no competition.
  10. Myers looks like shit. It’s crazy that Mets pitchers can look good then suddenly suck.
  11. Anyway. The Mets have lost their first two weekday games for the last three weeks. No reason to think tonight would be different.
  12. My first time watching in about a week. Immediately greeted with an RBI groundout and 2 run HR. This team sucks. Walks are never good, but you can’t groove one to Suarez with a base open.
  13. Toughest pitcher of the series tonight. Burns has only gone beyond 6 one time this year. So work the count, keep it close and hope to chase Burns early. Get it? Chase Burns?
  14. I just won the “Steering the Narrative Badge”. Which I’m pretty sure means Brock thinks I’m an asshole.
  15. Per Will Sammon of the NY Times. Describes the injury as “minor” but no other details.
  16. I would guess Bichette opts out. He leaves a $5MM opt out bonus on the table if he doesn’t. He’ll also be a year older, and though still very young, he won’t be able to sign that long term deal for much longer. Plus if he has a second down year, that ship will have sailed. But the biggest reason I believe he’s gone is that they will be no hitter available this offseason. I think he will greatly benefit from a bad market.
  17. Regardless of standings, always great to take a series from the Braves. Looks like an encouraging start from Peralta.
  18. We just had the same week as last week. Start 0-2. Win the next 2. Lose. Win.
  19. Regardless of any standings, a series win against the Braves would be nice. We have our best pitcher on the mound. Maybe he can pitch like it.
  20. I’m done with David Stearns. He’s had three years of $300M+ payrolls and never sniffed a division race. Never won 90 games. Team getting worse each year. This year’s team is 29th in MLB in OPS. 26th in runs scored. A combination of bad roster construction and somehow getting the worst of the guys we have here. That second part is the biggest problem. I think he’s smart. And if he acknowledged such failures and talked about re-examining the system he’s instituted to see why this is happening, I’d be ok with riding it out to see what happens. But he doesn’t. He talks about staying the course. Doubling down with Mendoza. Insisting that his way will eventually work out. “The players need to perform” Yes David. But why aren’t they performing? And what are you doing that’s preventing that from happening?
  21. Just saw the score. I’m guessing Manaea must have been pretty good. How did he look? This lineup cannot hit any lefties. I would try Jared Young anyway. Why not see what he can do.
