Not sure I can rank 'em but here are some off the top of my head. - my first game, 7/4/97. Mets win 6-2 on fireworks night - The Brad Clontz wild pitch game, 10/3/99 - The Piazza 2-run homer, 9/21/01 - 10-run 8th inning, 6/30/00
The little whippersnapper went 3 innings in relief last night to pick up his first professional win. Walked 2, struck out 3, gave up 1 hit, lowering his ERA to 3.72 in the process. Batters are now hitting .133 against him. edit : Box Score
This dude could use some guidance. He's struggling to throw strikes so far in pro ball, but his numbers in high school weren't bad. Had a K/BB ratio of 54/18 during his senior season. I assume he was getting a lot more swings and misses than he is now. He's 6'3, 180 pounds, and doesn't even turn 18 until Aug 11. Here's a look at some stats while I track down more stuff.
"I'm guessing that the Mets have a softer schedule than the Marlins do the rest of the way, because their odds are considerably higher despite them being currently behind Florida in the standings." Could be the schedule, but the Mets also have a higher run differential than Florida. The Marlins' run differential is actually negative.
Gary/Keith/Ron made a big deal about Tatis's glove at 1B during the 9th... specifically the red webbing. I thought I noticed something, so I snapped a photo. It's a Pujols model! (Click for full size image.)
Call me old fashioned, but I can't stand this "call the booth" bit. It's not as if Gary and Keith have had trouble finding things to talk about during games.
