  1. That seems more logical than the stories I've seen that Jeff would platoon with Polanco at first base. Also- I had to double clutch to try to remember the team now calling Sacramento their home. Later
  2. Not only didn't Cohen bring me a free agent present for Hanukkah, he blew out the candles on my menorah. Later
  3. Many of us were a hard fast NO when this originally surfaced. Since then, his production as well as my enthusiasm for him have declined. Later
  4. Mark Feinsand of MLB.com is saying the White Sox are signing him on a two year deal. No dollars mentioned. Later
  5. His mom is happy he was signed by Houston. Trey feels he’ll have an easier path to the majors in that organization. Later
  6. Looking at that picture makes me want to go to a chiropractor. Articles I’ve read about him say that deceptive delivery helps his not off the chart stuff. But I wonder if it will be an advantage long term. Later
  7. Will Sammon of The Athletic has reported that the Mets have signed Kevin Herget to a minor league deal, The right-hander had a 3.00 ERA in 12 major league innings for the Mets in 2025. Later
  8. We know where. The Mets have claimed catcher Drew Romo off of waivers from the Orioles. To make room for Romo, the Mets DFA’d Brandon Waddell. Later
  9. And I'm guessing that so is Francessa. Later
  10. Don't know much about him, but his numbers look ok. I wonder how many of those home runs were a result of the short fences of YS III? Later
  11. We've been with you through that ordeal. We can't wait to taste the first batch of cookies you bake. Later
  12. Their folks must drop the Scrabble set a lot. Later
  13. Last time I checked They could use a LF with some RH pop, too. Later
  14. Since the last update, it looks like we suffered a net loss of about five pounds of facial hair. Later
  15. I'll add Al Jackson, my favorite all-time Met. He was my iconic Met. In 2021 he was awarded the Mets Lifetime Achievement Award for his 50 years of service to the franchise. Later
  16. Laureano is a right handed hitting centerfielder who can hit (his weight). That would be a welcome change. Later
  17. Good, then let him go looking for players to fill holes on the current major league team. I'm pretty sure not many other GMs were lining up to sign Pache. I hope he didn't spend more than a few minutes on it. Later
  18. He had a delivery that reminded me of Dick Hyde, Terry Leach and Kent Tekulve. Later
  19. If they have to use him this year, it would tell me that: Stearns couldn't find anyone better elsewhere, and None of the kids Stearns drafted have improved from AAA or AA to the level of major leaguers Stearns is wasting time filling the minor league roster instead of the major league one - a mistake in priorities. Later
  20. I predict that at least once during this season I will spell or pronounce his name as Polcano. Later
  21. I will be lighting candles for seven more nights, hoping for some miracles. Later
  22. Remember? We’ve been drinking to forget. Later
  23. Right now, we need another middle infielder (where Jorge usually plays) like we need a third nostril. This may mean that another trade(s) will happen. Maybe Mc Squirrel? Mauricio? Acuna? Later
  24. Was it about the monster you saw on the wing? Later
  25. Playing a middle infielder at first sounds like his way of improving infield defense. Later
