Can't think of one. When I disliked a player it was for one of two main reasons: 1- they did well against the Mets (but not all of them. Some I respected as good ballplayers. It was the ones who did their best against the Mets and weren't as good against other teams. ) 2- they didn't perform up to my expectations when they became a Met. Later

The Reds have struggled badly at the plate in their recent stretch and just lost their fifth consecutive series. I hope their bats stay dormant until the Mets leave town. Later

On his way to cincy, will brazoban stop off to throw out the first pitch at the college World Series? later

When Stearns said he wanted to improve "Run Prevention," I don't think he meant it to be on offense. Later

Ha! I've been married 58 years. This elder gets abuse every day. I'd prefer it happens on the field today. Later

Great job. Thank you. Some of the old stuff, like song parody contests, trivia contests and prediction threads were pure gold. Later

If you predicted that Bichette was going to do THAT, raise your hand. (looks around) Didn't think so. I don't want to have to depend on a solo performance like that every game. I hope he passes it on to several of his teammates. Later

Just saw this. In 1947, the Cardinals voted to strike rather than integrate: https://news1.newstoday123.com/tienchung8386/the-secret-meeting-that-almost-destroyed-baseball-forever/?fbclid=IwY2xjawSVJ55leHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFiSUpqellpTDg3WnE3eEZVc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHpIeej9JEMBhb-QIsX5e1-9IU5AGn7xRGnVvAtOP-rPLJnAOQ68rOXcY6xC-_aem_RMX8GdQGkJq0UDP3ASmAPg Later

The Mets have shut down Jorge Polanco’s rehab assignment, which lasted ten days and saw him make a total of 17 appearances across stops in Double-A Binghamton and Triple-A Syracuse. The team announced that he’s returning to New York City for further evaluation of the Achilles bursitis that’s been affecting him since very early in the season.

I would have liked to learn about how he thinks his career would have differed had he stayed a Met. I don't recall ever reading whether any other reporter has asked him that question. Later
