Damn. Can't we hold a runner?

Is Castillo unavailable?

Whoa. Wagner in for the 6-out save.

Gameday just said that Wright took 2 called strikes, one 6 inches inside and the other on the top of his foot.

We have Endy Chavez...and you don't.

...feel insulted, Endy. Feel very insulted.

I would still use a pinch hitter for DiFelice here. Especially if LoDuca's coming into the game anyway as a PH for the pitcher's spot.

We needed some Kevin Seitzer-syle blowing this game. Offense = terrible. HIT, dammit!

LoDuca 1

soupcan wrote: Am I being Captain Obvious here? You guys already knew of Greg's connection to SNY? Apologies - I don't usually watch SNY unless there's a game on. Yes, but I suspect I watch with slightly more dedication than most.* I generally enjoy it quite a bit. Didn't mean to single you out as Capt'n Obvious. *( Perhaps not as much as KC) ="metirish"]WOW, I thought Gwreck was part of Faith and Fear...... Pretty big compliment-by-confusion but as Greg said, nope, that's not me. ="metirish"]....and how come you are not on SNY talking up Felix Millan and the like... Good question.

Unfortunately John Lackey is throwing a shutout for Los Angeles and Seattle won't gain any ground in the wild card race tonight.
-
I like tonight to be a good old-fashioned slugfest. Mets win 11-5 or something like that. A Delgado and/or Green homer would be nice.

As per Metsblog's "Mets Minor League Report" -Joe Smith has tendinitis in hs elbow and has not pitched in 6 days; -Ambiorix Burgos "felt something wrong in his elbow" and was removed from his last appearance Friday; -Mike Pelfrey missed his last start due to fatigue.

As a devoted watcher of Mets Weekly, I think I've seen Greg on there about 6-7 consecutive weeks, at least. He is a regular commentator in the "He Was a Met" (a look back at Met player notables) and "The Team The Time" (a look back at notable seasons). I have this vague recollection that he used to (still does?) write for the show as well.

I believe this one must be Pedro. Martinez.

Definetly Willie.

Sunday Night Live - IGT Mets-Dodgers, 8/26
Gwreck replied to Frayed Knot's topic in Archived Game Threads
I think the story goes that he called Guy Conti from St. Lucie where he was watching games. Apparently Mota had been tipping his changeup.
