Flip side: If we assume it will take Delgado up to a week to get it going again, don't we want to give him that opportunity, given that anything approaching the postseason he had last year would be very helpful...

Edgy DC wrote: Shore up rotation and get the odd man (men?) out ready to contribute to the bullpen. I thought it was settled: Glavine, Martinez, Perez, Maine. El Duque has that boot on his foot and can't throw off a mound for another 6-8 days (as per SNY broadcast last night). Seems like he's not likely to be a starter, at least in the Division Series.

'preciate the wrapup from the in-person perspective. Thanks. Glad you got a win(!)

9 William Henry "I died in 30 days" Harrison was of course our shortest serving President.

Philly had 1st and 2nd with 1 out but after going 3-0 on Victorino, he got him to hit a comebacker and then got Rollins to ground out on the first pitch.

10 John Tyler was the first man to become President due to the elected president not completing his term.

Put it in the books! Thankfully!

Wonder if we'd be tempted to use Wagner for 2 innings. He hasn't pitched in 5 days...

Is Pujols hurt? Or has LaRussa just forgotten, All-Star-Game-style, that he has him available on the bench?
  16. Gwreck
Wow. Spiezio vs. Myers. Could they both somehow get ejected and make it possible for me to root for someone else?

You know what gets me the most? It's that once the lead has been blown, it's like the offense has gone into a hole or something. We were hitting these guys fine through the first few innings. But once we lost the lead...

Thanks. Let me go stab a pencil in my eye to make it complete.

Let's try this again... ="Gwreck"] Aw, come on. They're playing the Nationals and Marlins. They're going to go 6-1 over this week and we'll be in a position to clinch by Tuesday of next week...maybe Wednesday. In pregame transactional news, Dave Williams was called up and Brian Lawrence was DFAed.
