range factor > gold gloves. Rafeal Palmiero never won the range factor award while playing DH all year. -

]Does 23 points of OPS offset the difference between a very good defensive shortstop and the guy who many people believe was the greatest glove of all time? the answer would be "without a doubt" -

the hall has made mistakes (Phil Rizzuto, Tony Perez, Catfish Hunter, maybe Don Drysdale too). Although it shouldn't lower the standards it kinda has to, because what else can the standard be at this point other than "is this guy as good as the guys who are in" -

a little early for this imo. -
i'm willing to accept that argument if theres an argument to be made that its foul and you are definitely out if you run.

Delgado has a 103 OPS+. thats pretty much terrible coming from him or any other slow-footed first baseman.

i liked the constant action but the plot was kinda "eh" for me. i should mention i never read any of the books. gave it a 3.

Yancy Street Gang wrote: In these cases, does the victim have to press charges for an arrest to be made? No, though in normal cases there wouldn't be any charges after the arrest if the victim isn't interested in pursuing them. Its still a crime though, its just not worth prosecuting with the victim unwilling to be a witness. This was a public event and 1000s of people saw the assault so it could be a different story.

you're missing Jason Bay if you are including guys who were only in the minors here.

Edgy DC wrote: I think it stands out. When was the last time a batter not only went into a fray with a bat, but landed some blows on some players, inclusing a concussive one. i dont recall. was the hockey player who hit someone with a stick and gave him a concussion arrested?

]Bridgeport Bluefish starting pitcher Matt Beech hit Offerman in the second inning and a brawl ensued that resulted in Offerman's arrest. He was being held on $10,000 bond on a second-degree assault charge. According to The Associated Press, police said Offerman posted bond. double-standard. nobody would have been arrested in the majors for chargig the mound even with a bat.

This is one list where a backup catcher with relatively limited service does not want to be grouped with hall-of-famers who enjoyed very long careers. baseball-reference says Jason Phillips grounded into 56 DPs...

oh you wanted single season? somehow i misread the question as most career errors

the sequal wasnt as good as the first, if you buy the DVD set there are a few cartoon episodes on them as well which are funny. Anyone else remember that soft drink from the late-80's with Slimer on it?
-
Who You Gonna Call? watched the first one and the sequel on dvd last night, still like them but the effects have really not aged well.

this thread is deja vu, we had this whole conversation already

i think they tried the "brand new material" thing with 'Enterprise' and it lasted only 3 poorly-watched seasons. willets is right, its time for them to take some time off. the TOS actors have gotten too old for anything and most people (i'd guess) don't want to see replacements. TNG has gotten stale and i hated the last movie. Voyager ended when the series ended, a movie with that cast would be nothing like the series and pretty pointless imo. DS9 doesnt need a movie either. i'd just give the whole thing a rest for awhile after Enterprise's failure.
