Delgado finally gets it done, 3-0 Mets

they just walked Conine to get to Delgado with 2 outs... how far has this guy fallen?

scoring a few more runs would have been nice, Delgado is a LOB-machine

cool, but el duque has to bea lmost that old. delgado blows it again, can we get a bases-loaded hit?

i hate FOX gimmicks, Sean Landetta doing the Mets lineup? who cares about him, if you can't get a Met to do it do it yourself

Oldest battery ever?

heres my guesses (from the current 25-man roster): Staying: Felciano, Glavine, Hernandez, Maine, Perez, Schoenweis (unfortunately), Sosa, Wagner, Castillo, Delgado, Gotay, Reyes, Wright, Alou, Beltran, Milledge Going: Heilman, Mota, Sele, Conine, Green Don't know/Don't care: Lawrence, Alomar, Difelice, Anderson also returning: Smith, Martinez, Burgos, Pelfrey, Castro, Easley, Chavez, Gomez, Humber, also leaving: LoDuca, A.Hernandez, Valentin, Johnson, Newhan

i'm "a punk" for telling the truth about an aging broadcaster's mental state? i didn't hear a peep out of anyone when a much less respectful conversation about Steinbrenner was going on, I guess its only "disrespectful" when we're talking about a Mets-related person? get over it.

so we're supposed to pretend everything is fine like King George's publicists do?

i dont know the dodgers but i just saw this on cbssportsline ]News: David Wells is coming back to a pennant race with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Wells and the Dodgers agreed to a contract Friday, and the big lefty plans to make his first start for Los Angeles on Sunday night against the Mets in New York. The 44-year-old Wells was designated for assignment by his hometown San Diego Padres on Aug. 9 and placed on release waivers four days later. He cleared waivers last Thursday and became a free agent. "David's excited to have an opportunity to continue his career with a team that has such a storied history," Wells' agent, Gregg Clifton, said Thursday. "He's excited to help any way he can to get the Dodgers back to the playoffs."

It's taken a dozen seasons but a Fox game is actually worth looking forward to. McCarver has become a total pain in the ass since the time he was here and Kiner isn't 100% there anymore, i'll watch anyway but i'm not looking forward to it more than any other met game, and it'll probably take all of 2 innings for me to switch over to McCarthy

i vote for "not very nasty at all, show me a larger sample size"

theres gotta be an undisclosed injury there, either way i'd steer clear.

in honor of the 30-3 drubbing, ESPN.com has listed what they consider the top 100 beatdowns of all-time

i honestly know nothing about jim kaat's fielding.

yeah, keeping him out 9 more days may be the best move.

he can replace Anderson, there'd still be Gotay to backup the middle infield and Conine to backup 1st and 3rd in an emergency.

i was there and didnt even notice her until she was being taken off the field, i'm not sure how old she really was but my impression was young teen

if the yankee organization feels that they have to make rules to protect players from Torre that would tell me that its time to show Torre the door.
