Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Separated at birth? Eric Goeddel and Aaron Heilman?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 So lil d' is back and Gee is going for the World Champs? And Colon gets hurt? WTF else could go wrong this season?I have to close this and see if the game streams better. I rebooted the modem and everything. We did have a super bad storm blow thru here a few hours ago. Maybe that's a factor.OR: Oh that's what Edge meant by in your face Reyes. Niiiiice.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 It still bothers me that it's pronounced Ho-SHAVER.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Uncharacteristically low strikeout numbers (2) for Mets batters tonight. Instead, a lot of warning track flies.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Yeah, lotsa fly outs tonight. Which beats Sunday when there were lots of [u:ut2tzylp]Infield[/u:ut2tzylp] pop-ups for outs, but only slightly.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Hard hit balls all night off the bat of Cabrera.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 The Mets last hit with a RiSP was the 5th inning last Thursday when Neil Walker doubled in a runner from 3rdSince then they are 0 for 24: the final 6 such ABs on Thursday, 0 for 7 on Friday, 0 for 8 Saturday, and in Sunday's game they just cut the suspense by not actually getting a runner as far as 2nd. Monday there was no game so we had the same opportunities as Sunday and they're 0 for 3 tonight.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 W's a W, I suppose. Great job by the pen to keep it together.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Yep, seriously good work by the pen. Note that that coincides with Bastardo not being used.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Hansel's interpreter is not nearly as cute as Yoenis's.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Somehow, Cspedes' homer in the fourth kept slipping Gary's mind in the top of the fifth, and all through the Royals' rally, he kept referring to the lead runner as "the tying run." Even as he scored, Gary declared the game tied, before finally correcting himself, likely at the muted prompting of one of his colleagues. It's like that last series made fatalists of every last holdout.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Was able to watch this on replay. Incredible Colons thumb wasn't broken. He took a bullet. The pen was masterful. Robles was HUGE. This was an encouraging win.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I also wanted to mention that d'Arnauds cut down @ 2nd on the attempted SB was very nice to see. That was also a bullet.
