Wow, this is sweet. A Topps digcard. Everyone's using that same photo- it's a classic now.

Ordered. I don't really want to nor can afford to get involved with these limited cards too much, but I'll spring for this one.

If you get 5 of these they give you a deal = $5.99 each, so all my brothers are getting one! :)

But someone remind me that I said I can't get too into this limited shit when it comes in the mail next week and I get all excited.

Will you have an extra? I'm hesitant to spend ten bucks on one card.

Caught by a Mets fan. The News has it. http://m.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/mets/mets-fan-catches-bartolo-colon-home-run-ball-team-article-1.2628914

And so does the Post: http://nypost.com/2016/05/08/meet-the-fan-who-caught-colons-hr-crush-nachos-and-baseballs/

The Post has the high calorie quote:

“Bartolo is a true athlete,” Jimmy Zurn, 35, told The Post on Saturday night at Petco Park during the Mets’ 6-3 win over the Padres. “Anyone who can crush a plate of nachos and crush a baseball like that has to be an athlete.”

The 1-1. Swing and a drive! to deep left field! it's got a chance, Upton going back, it's going to go, Home. Run. Bartolo Colon! Repeating: Home. Run. Bartolo Colon! The 7 Line Army in right field might tear this ballpark down. Colon carried his bat with him until he was about 10 feet from first base. He's taking the slowest home run trot you've ever seen. He just got to Tim Teuffel the third base coach. He is approaching home plate. He touches home plate with his first major league home run. Aaand they are going to give him the silent treatment in the dugout. They have vacated. The Mets have left the building. Bartolo Colon is the loneliest man in San Diego as he reaches the Mets dugout after hitting a home run and there's no one there to great him. And now here they come up the dugout steps. Wow.

I should have one but I can't commit until I run it by my nephew. He was conditioned to be a Mets fan at birth.
I really can't afford $10 for a single card either, and I fear if people pay that they will continue to do it and this will put the hobby even further out of reach. I pick up base card in blisters and I don't throw my money at pumped up things like this, that has been my personal protest.
But this is a Met, it's that wacky Colon HR which is Mets and MLB history, and they say it will be a limited print (do I believe them? meh,50/50).
So I will jump in here and grab this, but then I'm jumping back out again. $4.99 each and 2.99 for 5 would be more inline with what I feel is fair.

Orders for this card are reportedly breaking records.

We've got to get into this business and get it out of the boutiques and back on the street corners. REDEMOCRATIZE NOW!!!!

I guess it's kinda late to post this, but in the future maybe we could place an order for the entire board (next time a Mets player makes the cut -Im not at all interested in non-Mets).

Not that I'm going to get into these....too much....

I like the old school guy who didn't play games with the ball. The HoF asked Bart for his HRgame gear and he said no to the bat and ball going.
He said he'd decide between his glove, his spikes, and his jersey. I think his jersey would need an entire room.

My edition of the News Sunday put Bartolo on the back page without a final game story. It was big enough to bump the Kentucky Derby in the Racing Final. Newsday also had a Bart HR story without a final. Kind of reminded me of the Post, in its afternoon paper pre-Murdoch days, printing partial in-progress line scores.

2d inning hr from a California night game -- the ol' evening edition.

There was a great MLB logo spoof I saw that had Colons swing instead of the MLB guy. It was awesome but I can't find it now. Twitter only goes back 1 hour? Booooo!

Well, I'll definitely send you the money for it if it's available (or we can work it into whatever card trade we'll eventually do) because I'm mad at myself for not just buying one.

A great fit, since Bartolo has the physique of an M&M.

Weird that they're announcing it today since the artwork around those seats has been up all year. They previously said the former "Party City Deck" would be renamed for a prominent brand, I guess they needed to close the deets on the sale.

I do believe that was it. I don't recall the number on the back but it had that little red square in the corner.

Not sure which I like better. I really like the cloth look on the 2nd, and the offset figure.
They're both awesome.

A pretty classic screen grab.
Look at that smile. And look at the fans- cleary viewing a HR ball against their team, yet laughing and smiling and one guys even pointing at Bart.

Just got this E from my bro:

I talked to Austin and yes he would love one of the cards. He say thanks tons!!!
The card count for the Colon is over 8000. One other card sold more then 2000. He shattered the previous record!

Sorry Wolfy :(
