Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I think he's trying to say as little as possible.

(And that strangeness doesn't even include FK's revelation that Adam Rubin has a vagina.) It's nice to hear that it's not serious, but I won't really believe that until Harvey is back on the mound again. I can't help but remember how Ike Davis was day-to-day in May 2011 but we never saw him again that season.

metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 did he catch his dick in his zipper? it's mysterious, and not terribly serious, so that leads us naturally to conclude that it's got to do with his pants.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 That's some serious stuff. Or, at least, it can be an indicator of some serious stuff.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 That's kind of unusual. I'd suspect there's more testing to be done.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Harv is no I.P. Freeley. "I guess the main issue is I hold my urine in for too long instead of peeing regularly," Harvey said with a modest laugh. "I guess I have to retrain my bladder to use the restroom a little bit more instead of holding it in. I guess that's what caused the bladder infection."
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 i still think its VD and this is a cover-up. Anyway, this supports Bucket's contention that Harvey is nothing more than a dick.

dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I get those, the blood clots in the bladder. Been getting them for over thirty years, once or twice a year. No reason to assume it's something bad, but yeah, you do need to have something like that tested. Someday I'll have to tell you all my cystoscope story.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I'm glad to hear it's nothing serious and that he will be ok. Wish him a speedy recovery.Kind of disappointed how this whole thing played out. Harvey has a mystery ailment, Mets Twitter says some dumb things, Harvey now acting petulant about what was said. It all just leaves a bad taste.I get that Harvey is a douchebag and shouldn't talk about 3 ways on TV. So yes, part of this is that he brings it on himself. I wish he was less douchy. But the twitter users should be more respectful. At the end of the day, Matt Harvey is a human being, and anyone who has to go to the doctor to get tests run is dealing with something. You can't help but think of the worst case scenario. It's a scary time for anyone. I get that he's a public figure, but this is his health. And not like rotator cuff health, like actual health. Just...I don't know. Don't be a dick. And then there's Harvey reading about it and commenting. What the fuck did you think you would read? Just ignore it. Don't read it. And if you read it, don't whine about it. Just for once, can you act like you are above the petty shit? You want to emulate Jeter? Emulate the part where he pretends to not care. Jeter may have been a sensitive bitch, but he sure was great at acting like he wasn't.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Even Sandy joking about the toothache thing was a little inappropriate in my opinion.I mean, if Sandy wanted shut up the reporters, all he had to say was:"Matt Harvey is dealing with a non-baseball medical issue. A man is entitled to his privacy. When he's ready to say more he will."I doubt anyone would push Sandy knowing what he just went through.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 It was Terry with the tooth thing just to be clear.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Hard (for me) to think it's really, "Harvey got some bad strange, they'regoing with a bladder infection" slant but whatever. He certainly is a wetlightning rod for attention good or bad. Wish we could have a do-over or something because he certainly is/was an exciting pitcher to have on thegood guys.

Terry Collins then. And look, it's not that big a deal. I get why he would say it. But if I'm being told to go to the doctor to run tests, I might keep a brave face, but deep down inside I'm convinced I have cancer and I'm going to die. And if I'm going through that I'd be pretty pissed if my manager is on the air comparing that shit to a toothache.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Is Harvester officially scratched or is it still up in the air. Some ofthe selections in the 'First' thread will need some adjusting if peoplewere thinking he would be first to pitch in a game.
