The COKE CONCOURSE
Or, if we run into a stretch where our power hitters disappear, the COKE ZERO CONCOURSE

In keeping with Fred naming a part of the stadium after a former New York athlete (the Jackie Robinson Rotunda), they could name it the Lawrence Taylor Coke Corner.

Mr. Met and the Coke polar bear are supposed to be attending the NYSE stock bell ringing on Monday, indicating deal with Coke in the offing.

Met sponsor-sellers are busy: Got email last week that the club will announce deets shortly of the 2016 Mr. Met Kids Club Presented by Melissa & Doug. Those 2 couldn't be bothered to present shit the last couple of years.

My wife and I bought the mom and pop toy store in town here earlier this year (I guess that makes us the mom and pop). We've got oodles of Melissa & Doug merch. I'll be interested to see what the relationship is.

Atlanta iirc, has a gigantic soda bottle advertising their association with Coke. I think the Giants have something like that too. I will be shocked if this deal they announce tomorrow is something just as garish if not more.

You figure if you're a gigantic brand like Coke you have to or risk looking weaker than Pepsi with a whole section of the stadium named for it and the giant ad, and all those years when you could get in free with a bottle on Wednesdays, etc.

Yeah! We purchased back in June and it's really my wife's baby...I just peek at the sales numbers from time to time. It's one-third new retail toys, one-third used kid's clothes and one-third women's consignment.

And isn't there a huge Coke bottle behind the left field wall at Fenway Park, or did they take it down?

I think they took down the Fenway foul pole bottles a few years ago, IIRC.

But, yeah, hey, great, giant Coke signage. WHOOT.

Until this thread I had never heard of Melissa and Doug. Are they relatively new? Maybe they came along after my kids were too old for their toys? (My youngest is 14.)

Maybe they changed their names after their operations.

Melissa & Doug are sort of a "retro" brand that makes wholesome toys out of wood that harken back to the kinds of stuff we might have played with as kids -- as opposed to the plasticy, electonic "modern" toys of the major "Big Toy" brands. As evidenced by marketing partnerships with the Mets though, they are actually becoming a big brand unto themselves.

One of the best things we had for Jr. Lunchpail was Melissa & Doug easel. Got a lot of use.

the paper on the Melissa & Doug fridge magnets are not safe to get wet, just fyi. A toddlers mouth for example, is fairly wet and makes the paper get ruined. poor goat.

Someone 'shopped up a citi-image found on google but forgot to re-
move that small blue Pepsi Porch ad below it. It's all in the details.

OE: speaking of details, here's the image...
