Nats have a ton of 2-strike hits today, including the biggie by Ramos.

Rendon and Harper have a lot of not-hits today.

[bigpurple:29ahag1o]HUGE[/bigpurple:29ahag1o] win!

With the series ending in a 1 - 3 - 5 or 7 game lead, 1 has just been taken out of the equation.

There's no way the Mets would or could have come back to win this game during April, May, June and most of July.

What a turn around for this team! I have watched 90% of the Mets' games this year and I really didn't think it was possible back then that they could play as well as they have the last several weeks.

I was wrong. What a game. LGM!

In all my years hanging with you guys I don't think I have ever seen a more competitive, determined, well rounded and resilient Mets team. That goes back ten years. Remarkable!

And not just the comeback, but the Nats were shut out for 8 of the 9 innings including 5.2 scoreless by various penners who were pressed into service, some in less than ideal situations.
5.2 IP, 0 Runs, 3 hits (all singles), 1 BB, 9 Ks by the pen in all.

Scherzer + 1 disaster inning by your staff almost always = Loss
Not today.

Tremendous win!

Was listening via the MLB app on our way home from Northern Michigan and almost drove off the road after the grannie. Love that this team battles to get back!

Okay, so it was the fourth inning for the meltdown.

We were both right.
Mets led, Niese gagged it up.
And, you just missed by one inning.

You wouldn't happen to have Pete Rose's phone number, would you?
We could make some serious coin when Niese pitches.

Like I mentioned last week. 8-5 is a glorious score. Happy it held up. I imagine the Nats are hating 8-5 right about now.

What a pleasant score to turn on after a 3 hour plane ride.

Boy, you just KNOW Rose plays at DraftKings.com.

There has to be serious thought given to leaving Niese off the (potential) playoff roster at this point.

I'm there. I say throw Matz in there but then I'm stupid.
