Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I predict that the Mets will go into Washington with a 6-game lead. (Mets will win two in Miami, Nationals will win three of four from Atlanta.)If that in fact happens, the Nationals can take two of three from the Mets without things getting at all scary in the standings.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Author Posted September 3, 2015 That fine young man Matt Wisler -- his mom is Wisler's mother -- goes for OTOFT, the Atlanta Braves, a unit that's clearly been saving its strength for the task ahead. Opening the series for the Beltway Benighteds is Jordan Zimmermann and his superfluous extra 'n'.First pitch at Nots Park, 7:05 PM. Skip Caray, Pete Van Wieren and Ernie Johnson should have the call on the Superstation...but won't.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Wisler is pitching like his mother and won't even finish the 2nd inning. So I think we can pretty much figure on a six game lead before the night is over.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Boy, the Braves suck big-time.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 We'll get our shot at them too
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 They really gutted themselves, though, didn't they?I understand the teardown that has to take place in order to have a future, but you threaten the future too by forcing the few remaining players you hope to be a part of it to carry on in such a hopeless and demoralizing present. But now, I guess it's all about the new park with them. The 2015 Braves: As good an argument for relegation as I can come up with.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Atlanta has two runners on and nobody out.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Now Werth has singled, the Braves have yanked their closer, and it's Anthony Rendon up vs Pete Moylan (I thought Moylan was out of the league like five years ago)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Going to extras in the nation's capital.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Braves don't score in top 10Harper leading off - and I don't think he's made an out in like four days or something. Mainly he's walked like 30 times in the last week.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2015 Author Posted September 6, 2015 Ya ask the Braves to do one thing...chumps.Let's Go team that' about to start playing the Nationals.
