I predict that the Mets will go into Washington with a 6-game lead. (Mets will win two in Miami, Nationals will win three of four from Atlanta.)

If that in fact happens, the Nationals can take two of three from the Mets without things getting at all scary in the standings.

I had this exact same thought last night.

*fingers crossed*

I figure 7 and that the Nationals split.

That fine young man Matt Wisler -- his mom is Wisler's mother -- goes for OTOFT, the Atlanta Braves, a unit that's clearly been saving its strength for the task ahead. Opening the series for the Beltway Benighteds is Jordan Zimmermann and his superfluous extra 'n'.

First pitch at Nots Park, 7:05 PM. Skip Caray, Pete Van Wieren and Ernie Johnson should have the call on the Superstation...but won't.

Wisler is pitching like his mother and won't even finish the 2nd inning.
So I think we can pretty much figure on a six game lead before the night is over.

They really gutted themselves, though, didn't they?

I understand the teardown that has to take place in order to have a future, but you threaten the future too by forcing the few remaining players you hope to be a part of it to carry on in such a hopeless and demoralizing present.

But now, I guess it's all about the new park with them.

The 2015 Braves: As good an argument for relegation as I can come up with.

We'll get our shot at them too

And they better roll over for us too. I thought there'd be a game worth watching tonight.

didn't we just win 6/7 from the Phillies? Let's see what the Braves do the rest of this series.

I can't believe we drove all the way down just for this, Mr. Met.

What's that? No, you can't drive home ... . Because you've had a few too many, THAT'S why.

C'mon, let's pull for the Braves here. I don't care how dirty it feels. Ohhhhh, oh, oh-oh-oh...

I'm rooting for anything that Mr. Met Puppet Guy is rooting for, short of a prostate check that is.

Atlanta has two runners on and nobody out.

But they don't score.

Now the Nats have the tying run on 3rd w/1 out in bottom 9

Now Werth has singled, the Braves have yanked their closer, and it's Anthony Rendon up vs Pete Moylan (I thought Moylan was out of the league like five years ago)

Braves don't score in top 10
Harper leading off - and I don't think he's made an out in like four days or something. Mainly he's walked like 30 times in the last week.

Ya ask the Braves to do one thing...chumps.

Let's Go team that' about to start playing the Nationals.

Just hope they continue to suck this bad. We have 7 games left with them, Nats have just 3
