Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Yeah that's just me being pissed off but someone should answer for the Mets' continued failure to execute properly while giving away all it gained during an 11 game win streak.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 It was nice though, wasn't it? For a month and a half, thinking that this team could contend.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 For me I stopped fooling myself during the Cubs series. This St. Louis series is just reiterating what we already knew.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 They're not even competing some nights. That has to stop.

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 What's frustrating is that there is absolutely nothing the Mets can do right now. There is no hitting available. This is why you don't sign Michael Fucking Cuddyer and pretend you had a successful off-season.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Well, this team has done absolutely nothing on offense for a month now. And the players we might have traded to make room for the up-and-coming have either sucked or been injured. There are two outfielders who aren't pulling their weight and I want to see them sit for a while. Cuddy and Grandy are 'great clubhouse guys' but they're killing this team.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 All badness stems from Colon not scoroning.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 So this Mets revival that Sandy talks about in his book...when's it supposed to happen?

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Jeez, with the Mets poised to absorb another demoralizing loss, I could practically smell the next Megdal hate piece.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Oh, my God, not SOME PEOPLE.They're the worst.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Another qualifier. I suppose. Maybe.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Even Lagares has lost his magical glove.I really don't understand where these players heads are at. Like on that grounder to short to end the inning. There were two outs and Flores takes the time to look the runner back @ 3rd. Wtf?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Systems are complex things, all things influence each other, and bad play begets bad play.

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 If no one else has mentioned how much we dislike guys names Kolten, then let me be the firstLater
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 From the post-game presser (bolding mine): "We're not hitting the ball hard," Collins said. "... We're not even barreling up some balls. I don't know what the reason is. Other teams don't have a problem hitting suckers out of this ballpark."Oh, Terry. Figure it the fuck out.
