bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Lefty starter for Baltimore so we'll see if Terry plays "opposite day" from the lineup of Tuesday. He's already said that Turner will start at short. Perhaps:Rottino, Murphy, Turner, Wright, Hairston, Torres, Duda, Nickeas.

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Miss Rheingold's hair style was very popular back then. andThat lineup couldn't score in a school yard.Later

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Her hair was way ahead of its time as it foreshadowed David Wright's post-beaning haberdashery.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Neil Best Gary Cohen off for son's graduation, so @KBurkhardtSNY will call Mets games today and Friday - his second and third ever in regular season.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Wow, Valdy getting he start at 2B, and Muffy sitting. Not that I had anything to do with this.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Nick Johnson is starting at 1st. Didn't he get hurt the last time he started against the Mets (as a National)?
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Kathy Kersh didn't just sit on her laurels as Miss. Rheingold:http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0449947/Whoa. The wife of Robin AND Ben Casey. And 4 appearances on The Beverly Hillbillies to boot. That's like 60's TV gold.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 That's about as close to an all RH hitting line-up as this crew can come.Matusz was a top prospect at one point and certainly isn't past his sell-by date in that category. Just slower than expected in getting there which is common with pitchers, but he's certainly capable of throwing a good one on occasion.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I do like the way Terry is going totally batshit with the righties though. It's sort of daring them to come in and use a righty reliever at some point which could set up all sorts of fun. Don't forget these guys don't know how to do a double-switch.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Yeah, Terry having nobody save Wright left who's under a longterm contract really gives him leave to do what he wants with the lineup pretty much on a nightly basis.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 And Gee totally gets a 1-2-3 inning (henceforth to be known as "dickeying down") in the first.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Torres rips a single to lead off the game for the Mets.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Why didn't Wright score there? Two outs: get on your horse.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 How is Guys! doing? I'm watching on MASN.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Double Dickey Down for Gee.(I'm coining terms left and right here. Get on board or get out of the way.)
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 That was a real shitty first inning for us. Single, force-play, caught stealing, single, two-base outfield error that should have scored Wright easily. Boo.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Rubin on Twitter: When you see Daniel Murphy tonight in a dugout camera shot -- no, he did not lose a bet.I wonder what that is all about.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Yeah, why bench Murphy if you're going to bonehead it like that?I'm beginning to see Valdespin as not so much a tool you use, so much as a force you unleash. Powerful, but once set in motion, you never know if it's going to turn against you.Nickeas is up. All shall be well.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 In case you're going to Baltimore on Saturday, the Orioles tumblers will not be ready. Instead, "Birdland" t-shirts will be given out along with a voucher for the tumbler.
