The NL Central-leading Reds arrive in Flushing to challenge the mettle and resolve of our beloved Amazins. Bronson "Little Punk" Arroyo takes the mound for Cincinnati facing Dillon "Hold Still, There's Something on Your Chin" Gee.

The action begins at 7:10 pm EDT on Friday.

I will be in attendance for this one. The #mets top two draft picks will be taking BP 'with'? the team before the game. I should probably at least remember their names.

Bill O'Reilly with the first pitch, and Aaron Carter with the Anthem. I may not turn on the TV until 7:30, just to be safe.

The Reds have called up Willie Harris to replace the injured Drew Stubbs. Can the Mets get a tribute video together in time?

oy.
Bay crushes his skull again.
Nice try, but he should try and keep his head from hitting things.

Well, that solves the problem of what to do with Bay.

Hairston can play some hackysack!
Who knew?

chasing fly ball managed to collide head first while sliding into the wall. He couldn't get up, Jay Bunce went all the way round, and then looked very uneasy as he left the field.

Deep fly to left. Bay ran after it , speeding up as he went, pretty much dove/lunged head first into the wall, missing the ball and hitting the wall very hard. Head and neck scrunched and he really ended up in what I can only describe as a stupor.

should also say, he kind of had his head bent inwards to the chin/neck by the impact. It wasn't nice at all.

I would pay good money to see Ike just take that 3rd strike and humbly walk away without sulking. That will never help things Ike.

@Duan. Yea, was ugly.

And not much else since, from either squad.

"Possible concussion" for Bay--if so, does that end his season?

Do the Mets have injury insurance on his contract? (Is that not standard in mlb? I know in the nba it was a big deal that the knicks couldn't insure stoudemire bc of his back)

Listening to Howie and Josh on my phone because FIOS continues to fuck the Syracuse-area Mets fans with their lack of WPIX coverage.

Good guys not doing so good. My mother in law is here so the wife and I are going to bail and go see a late showing of Prometheus once Fgirl settles in for the night.

I think, in the years since Mo Vaughn, those policies have become prohibitively expensive.

I would think, at a minimum, he's done until after the All Star Break. And yes, maybe for the entire season.

More and more Bay reminds me of Bump Bailey crashing through the wall in "The Natural."

Jason, it just didn't work out, get well, and enjoy your post baseball career.
