Well apparently my wife likes them which is why we're going. And TholeMoley on Twitter. And that's all I know, but I don't pay a lot of attention to people's musical tastes. I wasn't even aware they/he/it was on American Idol at one point.

Daughtry is a dude. Daughtry is a band with that dude out front. The latter-- and, therefore, the former-- will be performing on Friday night.

It's like Dio, except alive, and not, y'know, nearly as good or funny. And it sucks in almost exactly the way Nickelback sucks (mesh tees and wallet chains and grunge's-slow-grandchildren-riffs and terrible lyrical turns of phrase inclusive). Here's a Daughtry song.

no audio at work (still up in the air on if I want 'spoilers' or not), I'm not sure who Dio is either.

I personally don't have a problem with Nickleback though. I enjoy the terrible lyrical turns of phrases, I find them amusing and therefore entertaining.

Good, then-- you and the wife will get a lot more out of Friday night than 'Wolf or I would.

Am considering dragging the fam to Saturday (especially since it looks like it could be the Matt Harvey Show).

I feel like Kramer in the Moaster of the Domain contest. Out after 30 seconds.

Cheap Trick was originally scheduled for this show, but they pulled out to do a month's worth of opening gigs for Aerosmith.

Speaking of bands who suck. I saw recently where Aerosmith is launching another "comeback" album this fall.

And just to be clear, I'm getting conflicting reports on whether this will be Daughtry the dude performiing or Daughtry the band. They're different entities, right?

Not exactly. The dude fronts the band.

Still America's greatest rock band.

You know the conflict you feel when one of your favorite shows, like Mad Men or Breaking Bad, is on at the same time as the Mets? Well, that will happen again on August 12 as ESPN has moved the home game against the Braves to 8:05. At least the Mets have a day off the next day.

My conflict is more that I bought the tickets-- the only ones I've actually purchased this year-- with the intent to go as a family outing. Now, I'm either selling at a loss or ditching my wife and child to go with friends/other family.

LWFS--I feel badly for you. This is a great example of the Crypt Keeper not giving a damn about the fans. He'd say, or at least his press people would say for him, that he's giving more fans a better game to watch by allowing ESPN to make this late selection. If you were allowed to return or exchange the tickets, I wouldn't argue but you're not, you looked forward to it, and you got screwed. And I'm sorry.

Mets could at least lay in complimentary coffee and cots.

Given up on trying to swap out my Saturday tickets for Friday ones, Fboy and I will be in attendance the night prior, Saturday 8/11 7 PM, for Mets/Braves. Fboy's first major league night game. Beers are on me if you come up to section 835, row ZZ and find us :)

I'll be at the day game on Wednesday - who else is going?

Snooki'll be in the house tonight.

The Mets will honor her presence by wearing the ugly black drop shadow pajama top shirts featuring the Gary Carter memorial patch on the chest. Tomorrow night, the Mets will wear the ugly black drop shadow pajama top shirts featuring the Gary Carter memorial patch on the chest, in recognition of Todd Zeile, who will not be in attendance but, it is rumored, will watch tomorrow's game on his television

We went yesterday.

First time a tough loss felt like a perfect day at the ballpark.

On Edit: Thanks Ceetar!

Goodness. When the Mets are already at a low-point, do I have to be reminded that Snooki is a fellow fan?

On Edit: How do I post a picture from Facebook?

Keep an eye out for the DocTees in the SF bleachers tomorrow night. Maybe I'll catch a Bay HR. Or pneumonia. The latter is far more likely.

Will be there Saturday with Fboy for his first prime time MLB game. Section 5-something. Hope to meet some CPF'ers and share a brew and a howdy with you if you're there, PM me if you're planning on attending.

Looks like we're getting Johan's first start back as per his interview tonight with "Guys."

We'll be there tonight to celebrate MK's birthday.

First (and probably only) trip of this year tonight. I'm about as interested in the food as I am in the Mets right now.

Want a beer metfairy?

Highlight of tonight's game: I learned there is now a Cinnabon here!

mixed in with Carvel somewhere right?

I feel like I wouldn't be such a Citi Field beer/food/sightline expert, even given my antsyness normally, if the freaking Mets wouldn't give me so much incentive to not be glued to my seat.
