seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 This thread is gold. I wish I had time to learn Photoshop.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Ashie62 wrote:Terrific! any way other than photoshop to makes these?I use a very old program, PsP7 (Paint Shop Pro 7--I have CoralDRAW6 but have no idea what I'm doing in there yet. Keen to learn tho). I've been using PsP7 for over ten yrs so I really know my way around. I still discover new things I can do with it. Its very user friendly compared to the more current programs(to me, anyway) and allows you to work in pixels as well as vectors. Working with pixels is much easier and convenient for this type of fotofun.I used to do rudimentary things in MSpaint way back when, and you can at least do some cutting and pasting, resizing, editing, etc. in there. Might be called just "Paint" these days-you will find it listed under: programs>accessories on any PC.
dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Yeah, for this sort of thing, a simpler program like Zvon mentions is probably better. The number of Photoshop features I actually use (or even know how to use) is fairly small, and a program that had only those features would be great.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 i'm a PSP user too, though i'm somewhat out of practice.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 With apologies to Percy Bysshe Shelley:I met a traveller from an antique landWho said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stoneStand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,Tell that its sculptor well those passions readWhich yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:And on the pedestal these words appear:"My name is Jeffrey Wilpon, king of kings:Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"Nothing beside remains. Round the decayOf that colossal wreck, boundless and bareThe lone and level sands stretch far away.
