Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 He's really swinging his bat in that spread.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Somehow Jose thought that was a top idea, lord.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 I'm hoping that that ESPN 'Body Issue' doesn't have Chris Berman involved anywhere.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 I know I said I wanted to see more Jose Reyes, but that's not what I had in mind.

Let this be a lesson to all of us.You're a little sensitive to seeing a dude's body. Stay there for a second, I'm going to have him turn a round and bat lefty. You know, for a complete representation.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 The most exciting player in baseball. He goes from the batter's box to third in no time at all. He double entendres like no other obscene implication in the game.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Where's Fmann when we need him? This is crying out for his post.Later
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 That's the new alternative uniform.

No funny names, no "back back back"- kinds of stuff. He actually was not bad - followed the action and told us what was happening. Only one unclear call -a double off the wall - I couldn't tell for a while if it hit the wall or was caught because he was describing the attempt for the catch. But he got it right immediately.Back to topic - I just heard from my Lawyer. We never gave ESPN the right to photoshop Reyes' head onto a picture of my body*. We're going to sue.Later*= Kase has met me and can confirm that I am a magnificent physical speci .... , OK, just joking. Edited October 6, 2011 by Guest
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 Well, then, sign my gay ass up for the Sunday plan.

You know, for a complete representation.I've got no problem with seeing a dude's body...but seeing Jose posing on the cover of a mag is kind of like seeing a co-worker or a next door neighbor do it. You know, someone you see all the time with their clothes on and don't really expect to see them with their clothes off.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 you probably don't have a gym at work, then...
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 My wife just saw the picture of Jose and said she'd like to see CC Sabathia posed the same way.Later

Sabathia is a pitcher. If he was posing, he shouldn't holding a bat he should be holding balls.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 i'd imagine cc sabathia sans clothing would look very much like a black peter griffin, were i ever to force myself to try to imagine a naked cc sabathia.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Jose Reyes: The antithesis of the player of whom it is said, "They'll have to rip the uniform off him."

Plus if whatever series he's doing goes to the weekend ESPN would have to find a replacement.I heard one call via audio replays (the Roberts GS) and it was pure Berman ... and by that I mean he made the call about him more than about the game.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 fair fucks to him, he looks great.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 It's been almost 15 years since we've had some serious Mets shortsop skin photography, and I'd say it's been worth the wait.Somebody pass some baby oil to Rey-Rey.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Who's on the far left in that photo?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 Is it me or does it look there's a cardboard cutout of Jeter they stuck in there, but angled just enough to screw up the illusion and reveal that he's got no depth?
