I'm not gonna take that whole video. Is there specific MFY content in that cuz it was always my belief that the Sister rocked the orange and blue.

Playing lead gee-tar, the centerfielder with the Cepedaish bat and Draveckyesque arm strength, Bernabe Williams.

He's right. I wonder what the players would give him for some of those hypodermic needles with their prints and DNA on them.

MFYs select Lee Mazzilli to read their selections at Amateur Draft.

"Yea, um, dank you very much, Mistuh President."

I say the Mets choose Chris Rock.

"The Mets select.. Cody Stephens? Didn't they pick him two rounds ago? I swear this is the eighth mutha fuckin' Cody this team has picked. Do we have a special Cody scout? Where they findin' all these Codys?"

Didn't Ruben Rivera get in trouble for doing exactly that?

You're gonna burn in hell.

I'm pretty sure the Sistas appeared in one of the Mets highlight or history DVDs. Jay Jay French in particular.

Funny that Dee yells in the end "And he didn't f--- it up!" He must have expected such a thing from a former MFY.

Now, the video does reveal a new and disturbing trend in poor concert etiquette. It's one thing to have your view of the stage obscured by a guy -- and it's always a guy -- flashing the devil horns. But but now we all have do deal with Yankee-loving DBs holding up their cameras, blocking our view so they can get a shakey hand video to post on YouTube!

Arrested in rape of an 85-year-old:

On a semi-related topic we should note Plaxico Burress walking out of prison the other day with his Phillies cap on proud display.

And criticized his former coach a little while later. (while praising Rex Ryan.) Almost sounds media fed "What do you think about Rex? We Love Rex right? How's that relate to Coughlin?"

Love the last sentence of that letter:

Also, tell the interpreter for Fausto Carmona, to tell Carmona, to learn English!

Can't make it up!

Yankee fan pictured here in the red on black cap caught Kurt Suzuki's home run ball last night. Fans wanted him to throw it back, but he just laughed and pointed to his cap.

That guy was in my postgame subway car, I'm pretty sure.

This MFYLDB is having a "Coulda had a V8" moment now!

Finally, the New York media has realized that the "free" tickets Christian Lopez got in exchange for giving Derek Jeter's 3000th hit ball back aren't going to be so free after all; the New York Times figures he will have to pay at least $14,000 in federal taxes on those tickets.Sure took the press long enough to figure this out -- and they still haven't realized he will have to pay state taxes, not just federal, on the 50K of swag he got from the Yankees. So much for all the great karma the universe was supposed to bestow on Lopez for his deed, huh?

To quote some MFYLBS who will be at MFYIII this coming weekend; that was your first mistake, you took your lucky break, and broke it in two!*

Here's an idea: why doesn't Jeter pay the guy for his taxes? That's walking around money for Jeter.

cause then the guy would have to pay taxes on that money.

Stupid is stupid all around. Teams give comp tickets all the time with 'no face value' on them. You wonder why? But apparently not what this guy got.

Also, he should've gotten Jeter to sign the merchandise (or claim he did) rather than presigned stuff. $100 jersey isn't real expensive, and if you own it when it jumps to a signed product, that's not income.

well, yeah, but if you give him enough cash to cover the taxes on the merch and the taxes on the cash, he won't have to pay a nickle.

lets say you have a 20% tax rate on $100 of merch. you tack on $20 to cover the tax, but you've gotta pay tax on the $20.

so the equation you have is Y = T * (X + Y) where Y is the cash, X is the merch, and T is the tax rate. in my above example, that turns into the following math (showing all my work):

Y = 0.20 * (100 + Y)
Y = 20 + 0.20*Y
Y - 0.20*Y = 20
0.80*Y = 20
Y = 20 / 0.80
Y = 25

so with a 20% tax rate on $100 of merchandise, $25 takes care of the whole tax bill.

Lopez should have kept the fucking ball and hawked it to the highest bidder.....the guy has one hundred grand in school loans, of course he was taken to Levine's office right away , I could just imagine how it went down.

Sounds like he has grounds for a lawsuit against the school.
That education he got obviously wasn't worth $100 grand.
They didn't teach him a thing.

I wonder what YSIII Security would have done if he refused to go with them once they descended upon him seconds after he got his paws on the ball.
This all sounds very voluntary on his part but that's probably because he "played ball" with them (so to speak). But NOT going along with large men wearing badges who are under orders from autocratic assholes used to bullying people to get their own way can be a tough thing for a star-struck fan to do.

indeed. it sounds voluntary, but who really knows. I'm sure they started with "Let's take you to meet Jeter, and see what types of stuff we can get you for that ball." Giving very little opportunity to think or say "I think I'll hang onto it" while being herded under the bowels of the stadium in likely a crowd of a bunch of security and executives.
