Bobby Ojeda was trying to sell the "it's not over yet" ticket two nights ago. It's over Bobby.

In all likelihood they will win 14/15 and lose 15/16. Jerry knows he's gone and what vexes me there is that this month could be used with a manager who's eye is firmly set to next year and beyond, the GM too for that matter.

I want Duda, Evans, F-Mart, Carter (is Murphy healthy enough to play?) etc to play a lot. Evans strikes me as better than Carter personally, and they pretty much play the same position(s) although probably not well. Different handedness (I'm not sure what hand they use as it pertains to Fman's question..do you think pitcher's always use the non-pitching one?) but whatever.

I want to see Gee and Mejia. Niese too. Maybe even Perez? (I don't want to see him, but I want him to pitch) It's not just about youth, it's about trying to create value out of pieces you want to possibly move as well. Castillo should also play to prove that he'd like put up a .350+ OBP next year and would be valuable for less than $5 to another team. Beltran should play pretty much every day as well, for similiar evaluation reasons.

Get Parnell, and Takahashi or whoever else you really really like in there for high pressure situations.

Don't bunt. Why would you bunt? What possible use could bunting have for a team that's done? Stop it!

I want a new manager, or Jerry to somehow suddenly show his quality.

I want that new manager to be Bobby, or somebody even wiser and with more leadership skillz. I want somebody who doesn't believe their own bullshit. That's a good sign of when a manager has turned a corner.

I want Rodriguez's appeal denied.

I want that contract voided.

I want ownership and upper management to be communicative. It seems they (and Jerry) are laying low and waiting for the season to end, and I think the players deserve a little of the vision thing, so they don't have to waste their energy trying to muster it themselves.

I want at least 11 no-hitters.

David Wright confessed to feeling the same thing. Called it a mixed message when they promoted Tejada and F-Mart if i recall. Is it any surprise that players joke about "wanting to go with" Francoeur/Barajas with that type of communication?

i'd (and so would you) settle for one no-hitter. I might even settle for at least 1 grand slam at this point..

Seriously, I'm aware of the Wilpons' flaws (although I don't buy what Mex17 is selling at all), but I'm terribly wary of wishing for bankruptcy and sales.

Who can afford a ballteam anymore? Mostly it's corporations, with all the detachment, synergistic strategizing, and asset leveraging that implies; and megalomaniacs, surrounding themselves with a culture of pettiness, bombast, and contempt and a staff of intimidated retainers.
