Hey well, we got a chance for a 3-game winning streak tonight as Ollie opposes Carlos Silva in a matchup of guys who fucked up in the first years of their respective multimillion free-agent contracts.

I want some of JoseJose's NRG to bleed into the lineup and get some hits tonight. We haven't had a game with double-figure hits since the Barajas-Francoeur Homer Game a few weeks back.

That was the last game I was at. Are you implying I should head out to the Citi? (Wish I could, honestly, gotta go shopping for the weekend bachelor party). I agree though, tonight's a good night for an offensive battering of the Cubs.

This is our first two game win streak right? ,

Some things one might not have expected......Pelfrey leads the team in wins.....ok , you could see that.....Pelfrey leads the team in saves with 1......Rodriguez came close to making last nights game a save situation.

"Buy me magnetic piercings and Sandman tees, or I'll rape and eat you.

Eh.

Maybe I'll just eat you."

If Pelfrey pitches a no-hitter in his next start, he could win the NL Pitcher of the Month award.

We are so dooming this thread.

Just testing batmags contention that it doesn't matter who bats where in the lineup.[/quote:2e0c63d2]

The batting order would affect the team's ability to to score runs to maximum efficiency. I disagree, though, that Reyes would hit the ball differently as a result of being moved out of the leadoff spot.

Manny Acosta will, as reported elsewhere, be replacing Igarashi on the roster, and will be donning number 36. This also means that not every member of the Mets' bullpen has an 'R' in their first name any longer, a bit of minutiae that I noticed when they posted the used/available pitcher graphic on the big board at Citi last night.

In the park for tonight's game: Tom Seaver, Mookie Wilson, Ed Kranepool, Rusty Staub, Al Jackson and Bud Harrelson joining U.S. military veterans and the Wounded Warrior Project for a tour of the Mets Hall of Fame.

All those guys, save for Jackson, are inductees into the Mets Hall of Fame.

The radio agreed.

Just enough time for a little...

IKE DAVID FLASHING THE GLOVE!
he leaned over the dugout railing, flipped over it, and held on to the ball.

nice job with Leon Lett, lets hope the Cubs hold onto the ball just as well as he did.

Yes, but did he score a run while doing so like Fordham?

Seeeerusly, ridiculous catch.

Hey, SNY producers, we can all hear Seaver talking without seeing him, stop showing the booth and show us the FUCKING GAME

How many bottles of GTS do you think Terrific had before that appearance?

If he's anywhere near a Met event, I always assume he's got a half-bottle in him. Seems a prime candidate for inadvertently telling Kevin Burkhardt he'd like to kiss him.

On-field, after a walk to Soriano and a single to Soto... 2 on, 1 out.

Do STFD, Messrs. Colvin and Silva.
