Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Parnell going for the man's save-- the way your grandpa used to.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 This team is awesome about not letting shit like comically humiliating losses interfere with them. They will do what they will do (which is play at 6 games under 500).Off to San Diego we go (and four consecutive 2-1 losses, probably).
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 All joking aside... nobody died today, right? No tiger maulings? Beard suffocations?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 pagan ' every time I put the ball in the gap I'm thinking three or more"....loves taking the extra base....bodes well folks
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I'm happy for MGIM and family. One trip to CF and they see the Mets win.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Manuel" we are thinking about using Parnell as a starter , one reason why he pitched three today"paraphrasing right there but that's the gist of it
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Can't make the West Coast trip. Tweaked my hamstring. Day-to-day.Later
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Translation: We are thinking about using Parnell as a starting pitcher because he is literally one of 10 healthy bodies in the system who throws a ball professionally.

Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Has the charter left yet? I'm ready but need the black Mets jersey...I only have road grays. On a side note, how could Figboy be so ineffective on Monday and go four plus strong today? For the life of me I can't figure out this pitching. Green blows early in the season, looks like a machine until a week or so ago and is back to being a tool. Same for nearly every arm on the staff.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Hey!What a wonderful game at Citi today, aside from the injury, which looked horrible.Beautiful ballpark, wonderful experience and great to experience it with friends and family -- and the first time I've seen the Mets win in New York since 1991!!!I'll get some photos up on the site soon.
