Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Bennet vs. Beltran. I like it. Go Carlos!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 And he starts us off with a single.Hopefully Sheffield can end it before we have to see Wright strike out again.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I have an idea, let's let the Braves version of Sean Green load em up again due to his incompetence. I am OK with this plan.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Sheffield strikes out.Now it's David's turn.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Hit batsman. Thank you, Sean Green of the Braves.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Wright doinked by a pitch and now it's 1st/2nd, one out for Fernando McMashalot.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Tatis has a chance to get much Schaefer.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 The in-thread nickname coinage doesn't work.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Can't say we haven't had chances. Running out of pitchers, though.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Unless I'm missing someone, Takahashi is the last Mets reliever remaining. The Braves' pen is probably pretty depleted too. Anyone know who they've got left?

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 It does if it's after the fact. Like this.Yuniel is Spanish for "fuckpickle."
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Mets pitchers owe Beltran a beer on that flight.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Pedro settles in and gets it done. And on we go!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I disagree with using Reed here, but he's hot.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Feliciano due up this inning. Hopefully, if he bats, it will be a clear sacrifice situation. Is Delgado the last hitter left?

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 Santos (forgot about him) hits for Feliciano. It's all Takahashi the rest of the way.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 (edited) I just want his arm still in the game.Rudy's arm wasn't as helpful. Edited May 13, 2009 by Guest
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 (edited) If I'm counting right, the Mets have yet to use only Delgado (possibly unavailable) and Takahashi in this game (plus Santana, Maine, Pelfrey, and Livan). i wouldnt have wasted Santos here (pinch-hit reed for the pitcher not for castro)The Braves have yet to use Gonzalez, and their 4 other starting pitchers.I'd have to think that the longer Gonzalez vs. Takahashi goes the more in the Mets' favor things are because Gonzalez is less able to pitch multiple innings effectively. Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 And that's it. Santos is out. On to the 12th inning.
