Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Castro up... speculation about what happens when Schneid is ready to play. Castro is making 2.5 mil this year so does that make it less likely that he is cut outright?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Castro singles, first and second, one out for Johan.

I'm sure a trade could be made for him. Even if the Mets have to kick in $1.5 million, it's still better than eating the full $2.5.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I wouldn't have minded a squeeze there.

I think its back to Schneid/Castro, with both of them thinking that their potential replacement is down in Buffalo.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 It occurs to me while staring at Alex Cora this morning after seeing him a LOT on last night's Jumbotron... the guy looks a little like Harry Potter's Dobby the elf, don't he?

HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Wright up, 1st and 3rd, one out. Clutch time, DWright, come on.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 He shoulda struck out instead.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Damn. What the hell is wrong with Wright? Johnson's good but is a friggin' flyball too much to ask for?
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Good news: no K for David. Bad news: inning ending DP for David.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 It was only a matter of time before all those statements of respect for Derek Jeter added up, David.

Can I guess what CitiField sounds like right now?If I'm Johan, and I come up with men on, I'm refusing to bunt. 'Cause Lord knows, nobody else seems to know what to do about the duck-on-pond-collection business right about now.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 "Face of the franchise"?That may have been a tad premature.Later
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 All those in favor of just hitting Cantu every time up for the rest of the season, raise your hand.(Cantu = Burrell, This Year's Model?)
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Considering how he had been struggling, I advocated a day off for Wright during this series. I guess the injuries to Delgado and Castillo meant Jerry didn't want to take another regular out, but man, he is lost, offensively and defensively.

Maybe playing him at third, Tatis at first and Sheffield in left might be a lineup to be tried. (and you hope your pitcher can strike out a lot of batters)Later
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Buffalo lost again today, 1-0. At least Evans surpassed the .100 level. Two hits for WMPena. And Figueroa pitched very well.http://buffalo.bisons.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?t=g_box&gid=2009_04_29_bufaaa_rocaaa_1&did=t422&sid=t422
