Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Val - sorry I missed you. I was already on the train when you posted that message.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Should be celebrating the '69ners on Saturday, and picking up a pretty darn nifty Citi Field miniature on Sunday.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 (edited) I'm not going to try and organize it, but we should have a forum tailgate partyon Sunday 9/20 to finish up this mess of a season.Secondly, I have two tickets for tomorrows matinee. If anyone can use these, and are willing to pick them up at my office they can have them gratis. Edited August 23, 2009 by Guest
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 MK and I will be there on the 20th, but we'll be taking the train. D-Dad will be at the Jets game that day.
Guest Number 6 Guests Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 I'm trying to plan a bachelor party on Sept. 4th that includes a trip to the Mets/Cubs game. I've got 7 guys, and looking to keep the ticket price to less than $60 or so per person. Gotta say, I'm not too impressed with the options I have (a promenade box way out in RF or the Pepsi Porch).Anyone have any impressions on the best seats in that price range, or ideas on how not to spend a fortune to be seated a row in front of the cheap seats (in which I'd usually have my butt planted)?
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Here's what you do - join Club Mets (I think it's $25 to join), and they have a special that night for $25 tix for the Big Apple seating area.

I'm not sure there's a finer place in the park to spend a late-summer sunset happy hour just before gametime.
Guest Number 6 Guests Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Big thanks to both of you, that's a great idea.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 No problem. If you go to the game, I'll see you there
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 This probably isn't the most opportune time to post this, but we decided to sell our tickets for next Sunday's game against the Cubs. It's Frankie Rodriguez Bobblehead Day, and there's a Mr. Met Dash for the kiddies after the game.If anyone is interested in making me an offer, either send me a Facebook message or PM me here.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I sold those tickets for this Sunday's game. But I'll be there with D-Dad and MK tomorrow (Friday), and I'll be back Tuesday night.

stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Well, I'll be at Citi Field on Sunday.Hey, maybe there won't be a huge line at the Shake Shack!
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 i gave away my "saturday plan" tix most of the 2nd half because:1) my seats totally sucked,2) the games totally sucked,3) having to go on weeknights for a "saturday plan" totally sucked, and4) i became bitterly disgruntled at Omar's mid-season failure to address any of the injury issuesi'm not getting a plan next year unless1) better seats are available and more reasonably priced than they were this year, 2) I don't have to buy weeknite games for a weekend plan, and3) they fire Omar. well, if they give me 1 & 2, i guess i'd go even if they didn't fire Omar. But that's how i feel today.

Guest Kong76 Guests Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 You've done it now, Victor. Complaining about ticket plans in the Going to the Game thread and you haven't even been going?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Also hitting up Sunday. Thanks to the Jets resurgence-- hey, cousin of mine, it's a 4:00 START-- I may end up being stag.
