I'm for sending Tatis up for Murphy.

Up, too late. Who says to send Endy in for him now?

Dang! That bloop being called foul changes the entire inning.

Went from 1st & 3rd/nobody out to bases empty/2 out.

I thought it caught some white.

And Keith is right.
Beltran has to take that guy out on that DP.
He also looked kinda meek on yesterdays DP that Church hit into.
Well, I guess thats the way they play the game these days.

I asked you for two more innings, Johan, and you say "take three."

Does anyone doubt he can handle it? I don't, which is saying a whole lot for someone in blue and orange.

One of the greatest pitching performances in Mets history. Brilliant.

FK: you have to start the IGT for tomorrow since you started this one.

TM: That ninth inning made my eyes well up a little<<<

It's gotta. He said give me the ball and took care of what needed to be done
in 2 hours and 17 minutes. Classic game, I wish I recorded it.

It got a little dusty in here as well.

You can't stop the Mets starters in the 161st game of the season!

This is like Maine's season-on-the-brink game, redux. 5 Ks through the first turn of the order.

Yes, it was. But let's hope history stops repeating itself right now. I don't want Oliver Perez giving up 7 runs in the first inning tomorrow.

A stunning performance.

I wish I could give Johan 10 Schaefer points today.

Absolutely stunning game to have seen in person. I'll guess that this is perhaps the greatest pitching performance I've ever seen in person. I guess it tops the Glendon Rusch 1-hitter because of the significance of the game.

Johan is the MAN.

He tipped his cap going into the dugout and tossed the game ball into the crowd.

Edit:
Forgot to mention. First pitch today was thrown out by Cleon.

This was the first game of 2008 that I have attended. It was also Fboy's first ever MLB game and first trip to Shea.

Fun was had by all, even from Row N of the Mezz where you can't see the pop flies or the top half of the scoreboard.
