Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 I asked you for two more innings, Johan, and you say "take three."Does anyone doubt he can handle it? I don't, which is saying a whole lot for someone in blue and orange.
Guest KC Guests Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 What a game, what a performance.Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 I love this fucking guy. Love him.

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Johan, you are THE MAN.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 That arm is made of magic.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 God, that man is good. That ninth inning made my eyes well up a little.Clutch, clutch, clutch performance.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Wow, that was fabulous. And Shea lives for at least one more big game.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 One of the greatest pitching performances in Mets history. Brilliant.FK: you have to start the IGT for tomorrow since you started this one.
Methead Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 That was unbelievable! Can he pitch tomorrow?

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 It got a little dusty in here as well. You can't stop the Mets starters in the 161st game of the season!

But let's hope history stops repeating itself right now. I don't want Oliver Perez giving up 7 runs in the first inning tomorrow.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 A stunning performance.I wish I could give Johan 10 Schaefer points today.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 If you read Greg's epic column today, I think that today, the Mets returned his love.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Ollie is 5-0 against the Marlins this year. Olson is 0-4 against the Mets this year.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Absolutely stunning game to have seen in person. I'll guess that this is perhaps the greatest pitching performance I've ever seen in person. I guess it tops the Glendon Rusch 1-hitter because of the significance of the game.Johan is the MAN.He tipped his cap going into the dugout and tossed the game ball into the crowd.Edit:Forgot to mention. First pitch today was thrown out by Cleon.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Would have been even better if they kept the pinstripes going! =
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 This was the first game of 2008 that I have attended. It was also Fboy's first ever MLB game and first trip to Shea.Fun was had by all, even from Row N of the Mezz where you can't see the pop flies or the top half of the scoreboard.
