Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Nice of Milledge to let Beltran's RBI hit drop in by positioning himself in CitiField
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I had my heart in my throat as Tatis jumped for that drive by Milledge.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I like 2 out rallies. Even if they only score one run.Tatis says, "If your going to play a shitty outfield, at least make the play, Milledge."
duan Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Mike Pelfrey's got a little more driveable last two games.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 When the Mets "style" after a homerun, it's a big story but I guess other teams feel like they can do it. To me, it looked like Dukes blew kisses toward the Mets dugout and was smiling and yukking it up for several minutes in the dugout.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I'm digging those Independence Day Weekend Caps with the pinstripes. Great touch.
Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Something doesn't look right with those Mets caps. Dark Blue or is my TV totally messed up?

Dark Blue or is my TV totally messed up?Those are the Independence Day Weekend caps that MLB used during, well, Independence Day Weekend this year, the Mets were in Philly.Dark blue cap, the logo has the flag inlaid on it with a very dominating (on video) white border.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 (edited) They are called "Stars and Stripes On-Field Cap" Tomorrow is the anniversary of 9/11, and representatives of the NYPD and NYFD pulled the countdown number from 12 to 11 before the game. Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Being used today for 9/11 remembrance purposes I suppose. Good use for them. I liked the NYPD hats.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 One out rallies are nice, too.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Tough to overstate how much Tatis bailed the team out this summer.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Hard not to like how this is going.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Got away with this time but that was another bad send IMO.Yeah you're winning and can afford to be more agressive but LFer had the ball before Tatis had even reached 3rd
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 That was for what I mentioned earlier. Ray Knight is doing color for MASN and said "that's the way the game is played" and Dukes "doesn't understand what it takes to be a major league player."
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Dukes is a low class prick , the pitch "inside" wasn't even that close.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Time to get the offense cranked up again. I like seeing the Mets with a (bigger) cushion going in to the late innings.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Ugh. Getting flashbacks.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 F'n shocker.I really root for the guy every time he goes out there. But he has been burned SO many times.Ugh.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 The only times Jerry can use Heilman from now on are: 10-1, either way, 9th inning; and the day after they clinch. Other than that, he can watch the game like the rest of us.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 David's D looks pretty good as well.Get a hit, buddy!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Two nice plays by Daybidrye , the one to end the inning was great.comebacker hits of Joe's glove and Wright charges and makes the bare handed pick and throw to first.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Rally! What is Milledge doing?
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Just getting here.Freaking Heilman. But I know we can win this, especially already knowing that the Phils have lost.
