Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 In Mets record book news, Jose Reyes is your new career steals leader.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Reyes gave a nice cap tip to the fans when the announcement was made on the scoreboard.Ugly, ugly win.The Stars and Stripes cap is stupid and should be banned even faster than the black hats.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 (edited) 'Greed. The New York agency caps are so not stupid (even if the flaming FDNY caps are goofy loud) and I hate to think they're done wearing those. Edited September 11, 2008 by Guest
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I took my son last night. We had a good time because ultimately the damn thing ended the right way. There was a guy sitting in the seat in front of us who looked really familiar. We were high fiving after big hits and generally being 'fan-friendly' toward each other but even though I thought he looked familiar I couldn't place him. Then somebody asked him something and gave him a ball to sign. The guy signed it and that was that. After the game ended we got up to leave and a few more people recognized him and asked him for autographs. Apparently he was - or everybody thought he was - Roger Federer.I'm not so sure. The guy definitely resmbled Federer but I think he was just getting a kick out of people thinking he was and decided to pretend he was and sign.Did they show him or mention that Federer was there last night on TV?

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I watched the whole game and SNY didn't show that guy.

Now I don't feel bad about telling my son not to ask the guy for an autograph.I figured if it really was him:1 - They'd have at least showed/mentioned that he was there, if not actually had him throw out the first pitch or something.2 - He would've had better seats.

stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 ="AG/DC"]'Greed.Which explains why the Mets were decked in the Stars & Stripes caps. New Era and MLB puts these shiny new products out, and considering the Met organization is a slave to such edicts from MLB, they'll wear what MLB and New Era wants the consumer to buy.Consumers are not rushing out to buy the Agency caps, I mean I'm sure you could find some, but they are hard to find, and more importantly, not made by New Era or licensed by MLB.I do like them though, to each their own.

My seats are like 7-8 rows from the field.="KC"]It's not metscentric, all teams are wearing them today and the teams that don't play today wore them yesterday.Doh! For the life of me I could not figure out why the Mets were wearing them on the 10th and not the 11th.
Guest cooby Guests Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Ask your self this:Is this game on FOX? No? So they are probably showing the action on the field and not possible celebrities in the stands.PS Who is Roger Federer anyway? James Bond?
