Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Joba has quickly become almost as annoying as Jeter. I hate rooting for a young kid's career to flame out, but I think I'm rooting for this young kid's career to flame out.Or maybe he can go off and have a moderately successful career in Japan. That would be okay with me.

Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I hope Chambelain has a long successful career. After being traded for Derek Lowe.

The Mets will break a 2-2 tie with an eighth-inning Carlos Delgado home run off Jack Taschner, and Joba will be out on pitch count early.

That would be okay with me.I was thinking it would be cool if Jeter and Joba collided while chasing an infield fly, saving all of us from the endless hype. Then I realized that in order for this to happen, Joba would have to rush off the mound and into the middle of the infield dirt because Jeter has the range of a bolder.Joe Morgan: "Jeter shows his greatness by leaving the other fielders plenty of room to make plays, too!"
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 38 pitches, three walks, a balk, a passed ball, one run... all in the 1st inning. /giggle
duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 first inning was funny, lets just hope they can't score damon from a lead off triple to cement futility.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 bleh, Holliday hits A-Rod and then gives up back to back singles to Matsui and Giambi - 2 - 1 yankees.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 The combination of Jose Veras, Edwar Ramirez, and LaTroy Hawkins has given up five runs in the seventh. If only they had a hard-throwing young pitcher who could pitch in the late innings.../giggle
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 From Newsday.]How did Joba Chamberlain's first start on Tuesday night go? Not terrible. Not great. It didn't last long, but it was full of heatI watched his outing but I must be seeing something different.

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 It's Pedro Martinez's world. We merely live in it.
