Guest Triple Dee Guests Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Did anybody:(1) commit a criminal act; (2) become excessively obnoxious to the general public by reason of, but not necessarily due to, being intoxicated; or(3) bring great shame and disgrace upon the New York Mets organization
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 No, no, and no.But I'm sure that manager who told us it was "impossible" to show the Mets game was glad to be rid of us at the end of the afternoon.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 LOL - try to pick me out of a lineup based on that photo
Guest Triple Dee Guests Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Why are roughly half the people in that photo looking away?
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 We weren't aware that a picture was being taken until after the fact.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Not something I'll go to the mat over, but I'd rather that picture not havebeen posted. Get a group shot, with everyone in it, or just leave it alone.By the dopey look on my face, I either saw hooters at three o'clock, or waslooking for the waiter to re-Guinness me, or I was watching a Phil/Pitt hockeyreplay on the screen. I'll go with hooters at three o'clock.Steve, you're fired as forum photographer. Please don't do that again.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 For any of you who will be in town that weekend - I have four Mezz tickets for Sunday, June 1 that I'm looking to sell at face value. PM me if you're interested.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I scored tickets to the 5/31 game. I am bringing the kiddies and bringing the wife, and I really don't know how the mrs will feel about getting to the park early for this occasion. Then again, I've never been to a CPF gathering, so I will try to at least get there for a little while.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 My son will be unable to accompany me since he has opted to take summer classes. One of my friends will be attending in his place.Looking forward to renewing old acquaintances and making new ones at the game.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I propose we set up tailgatecentral here:It's a three minute walk for those taking the subway, four if you're fat, but it's the best place to arrive early by car and not get caught up in the mess that is Shea parking 2008.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Anyone know what that carnival sort of thing is/was that is setup in Shea's parking lot the day that photo was taken? Also, if you think Google Maps' now 2 years out of date photo of the Shea area is bad, check out Petco Park, it still hasn't been completed yet!

Guest Number 6 Guests Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 I think I might be able to attend. Have the tickets been purchased yet?
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Thanks for bumping, Gwreck.Everyone is on their own for tickets. Does anyone have any thoughts on if X marks a good spot up top to meetfor a tailgate? I haven't driven to Shea in quite some time and that seemsto me the best spot to be as far away from Citifield. As mentioned in thethread somewhere it's a three minute walk from the subway, but it's nice over there. In the group that I got tix for it's:KC +1Sharpie +1seawolf +2RockinDoc +1EdgyDC
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 can't make it, that spot you marked with a X used to be fine but wit the citifiel construction the Mets have turned everything they can into parking so not sure whats up there now. for example, they now charge you to park under some of the freeways where once you could park on your own for free.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 If there's someone that says that spot is good, then I say it's fine by me.I'll sticky this.
Guest Number 6 Guests Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 If anyone is still looking for a ticket and doesn't mind sitting with a complete stranger who SWEARS he's not an axe murderer, I'll front you.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 If not, just get an upper reserve ticket and squat by us.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 It's always the axe murderers who swear they're not axe murderers.

This year, because they were afraid of the lack of partial plans announced for Citi Field, my Dad's company (well, its just him and his partner in the firm) bought the entire season, just for the CHANCE to get in the park in 2009. Well anyway, pre-paid parking came along with the seats, so we (my Dad and myself) haven't driven to our usual spot underneath Northern Blvd. Heh, I guess its a good thing then! The only other place we generally parked is right around College Point Avenue. Which probably is safe from the Shea parking patrol!

soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Unfortunately I am out.Unforeseen circumstances, poor planning and the fact that I gave away my tickets to a client two weeks ago without thinking make this an event that I cannot attend.Hopefully I will able to see some of your shining faces at other games during the season.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Tell your client to stop by and we'll have fman punch him (or her) in the neck.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 I should do that because she's a real ****.
