Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 I'm taking my daughter to the game. We're sitting in the upper deck, so i hope we don't get rained on.anybody else going?
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 'Fraid not, but the Endy Chavez bobble head was tempting me for a trip to the city.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Question about bringing your kids to the game, actually two...1. Under 3, no ticket required right?2. Are diaper bags ok?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 We're asking the same questions ourselves.I'm pretty sure you can get a small folding stroller and a diaper bag in there. That's our plan this weekend.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 I remember bringing all sorts of crap for kids into the game but that was before 9/11. I don't know if you could get away with bringing, say, a 2.5 year old in there without paying. If it looks like the kid should be in a seat, then they'll make you pay.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Mets site says all bags may be searched, and none can exceed 16''X16"X8". I think tix are required most everywhere for kids over two: I know they are on airlines, hence my travel plans were often determined around my kids b'days, so that they'd fly free (on my lap of course, but if there were open seats they always moved someone to accomodate us and give the girls their own seat)
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Official Mets policy says no ticket needed if the kid can go under the turnstile. Height of turnstile is 32 inches.Bags, food, drinks in sealed plastic bottles (no cans, no glass) are all fine. Don't think they'd hassle you about the stroller if it's small enough to fit under your seat. (The Mets have one of the most liberal polices about allowing the oustside food/drink in that I've seen). Also of note: they are (finally) running #7 Express Trains back to Manhattan after the game.---Going tonight as well. Hope they get a good crowd with the Chavez bobblehead and all. Several Friday crowds this year have seemed smaller than I'd have expected.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 We really wanted to go tonight -- I have some Mets money that we were hoping to buy tickets with, and I really wanted an Endy Bobblehead to go with the Endy auto that I picked up, but we're headed to the Ducks Sunday night instead. If anyone winds up with an extra Endy bobblehead that they're willing to part with, please let me know.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 I'll be logein' on Sunday, I feel like I haven't been to Shea in freakin' years.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 KC - "...I feel like I haven't been to Shea in freakin' years."I know what you mean.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Much appreciated. I'll have to measure the kid tonight.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 If he's too big, maybe you can find a smaller one that you can bring.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 I was actually thinking of asking you to re-size him like you did with vic's avatar.

Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 If ya wanna sneak out for one, I'm in section 10 also (in the Loge, row G or so) just before it becomes the Loge Cave.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Holy crap, I have tickets for the nooner tomorrow ... forgot it was the Sunwash out from April. I need to start taking that Ginkoba stuff.
